The 104-year old National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene's (NYTF) critically-acclaimed Yiddish language production of Fiddler on the Roof, playing at the Museum of Jewish Heritage will dedicate its special 104th performance on November 10 to celebrating its 104th season, and to the resiliency of Jewish culture on the 80th Anniversary of Kristallnacht. Due to the unprecedented success of the Yiddish language Fiddler on the Roof, presented with English and Russian supertitles, performances have been extended through November 18.

When I read that Studio Theatre would be presenting playwright Steven Levenson's IF I FORGET I was very excited. Why? Levenson won a Tony Award for his great book for hit musical DEAR EVAN HANSEN. Then I read the play won the Drama Desk Award for Best Off-Broadway play at the Roundabout Theatre in New York (see their informative study guide). Then when I saw what the play was about I really got excited.

Great Performances presents more of the Great White Way's brightest stars with a new "Broadway's Best" lineup premiering Fridays, November 2-23 at 9 p.m. on PBS (check local listings). Returning for a second year, this fall's lineup includes the beloved musicals "An American in Paris The Musical" and Rodgers & Hammerstein's "The Sound of Music," as well as documentaries about the making of John Leguizamo's Tony-nominated play "Latin History for Morons" and 21-time Tony-winning director and producer Harold Prince. The 104-year old National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene's (NYTF) critically-acclaimed sold-out Yiddish language production of Fiddler on the Roof, playing at the Museum of Jewish Heritage (MJH) is extending for 14 more performances-including a special 104th presentation. BWW Review: KISS OF THE SPIDER WOMAN: The Power of Love

Lyric Stage Company opens its 44th season with the Tony Award-winning (seven, including Best Musical) KISS OF THE SPIDER WOMAN, directed and choreographed by Rachel Bertone, with music direction by Dan Rodriguez, who gets pizazz and a far bigger sound than anyone would expect from a five-piece orchestra. The show is almost entirely sung-through, and the Kander and Ebb score is outstanding, given its due by a cadre of vocalists who make each song better than the last. Eddy Cavazos and Taavon Gamble are impressive in their debuts at Lyric Stage.
