Maples Repertory Theatre in Macon has announced a 6-show season for their June-December 2022 production dates. Groups and subscribers can buy tickets now. Single tickets go on sale April 1st. Auditions and staffing have begun for the three rep summer productions and the three fall productions.

Raue Center For The Arts will welcome “An Irish Heartbeat: A Musical Tribute to Van Morrison” to the stage.

The album features a core band of Tom Bukovac, band leader Biff Watson and bluegrass award winner Seth Taylor, who joined Grammy-winning Dan Tyminski on acoustic and mandolin, dobroist Ben Kitterman, and supplemented with Sturgill Simpson vet Laur Joamets acoustic slide and baritone where needed and Jim Moose Brown on keyboards.

On their sophomore album, Stone Sessions, The Waymores play authentic country music with an Americana flourish, combining elements of folk, blues and Honky Tonk into an instantly recognizable sound. Willie Heath Neal’s husky baritone and the warm alto of Kira Annalise compliment each other perfectly.

Andy Christopher, who played Buddy Holly in “Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story” at Bucks County Playhouse, and his wife, Esther Stilwell, will bring their cabaret performance, “That'll Be the Day: A Rock 'n Roll Romance,” to New Hope for four performances, February 4 – 6. 

The historic Music City Walk of Fame in Nashville, Tenn. will induct country legend Bobby Bare. Bare’s star will be revealed on the walkway at Music City Walk of Fame Park located in SoBro amongst fellow inductees Dierks Bentley, Keb’ Mo’ and Connie Smith. The park is located directly across from the Country Music Hall of Fame.

The Playhouse’s Andy Christopher from “Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story,” Rob McClure from Broadway’s “Mrs. Doubtfire” and Blanche, Sophia, Dorothy and Rose will grace the stage of the iconic Bucks County Playhouse in February when the theatre presents a slate of visiting artists.
