The Broadway sensation WICKED will welcome new cast members to the National Tour beginning performances Tuesday, March 22 at the First Interstate Center for the Arts in Spokane, WA.

As New England Conservatory's (NEC) affiliate orchestra for new music, the Boston Modern Orchestra Project (BMOP) presents the 21st Boston ConNECtion concert, a portrait concert featuring music by NEC's Malcolm Peyton Composer Artist-in-Residence Ellen Taaffe Zwilich.

Bistro, BroadwayWorld, MAC, and Margaret Whiting Award winner Celia Berk will return to the Laurie Beechman Theatre in April for three performances following a successful, sold-out debut of On My Way To You: Improbable Stories That Inspired An Unlikely Path.

Opera Hispánica will present the great Chilean soprano Verónica Villarroel in a romantic recital titled Y Volveré at El Teatro of El Museo del Barrio on April 7th at 7:30 PM, 1230 Fifth Avenue along Museum Mile.

The Grammy-nominated Western Wind Vocal Sextet will present 'Of Dreams, Desires & Dragons: Music by Women from Hildegarde to Joni Mitchell'on Saturday, March 19 at 7:00 PM at St. John's in the Village, 218 West 11th Street, NYC (West Village). The concert celebrates Women's History Month with a rich assortment of music by classical and modern women composers. Both live in-person and live streaming tickets are available.

This week I saw productions of two decades-old musicals, each written by one of theatre's great composer/lyricists, which, in their original productions, ran a combined total of nine performances on Broadway.

They masterfully adapted the show as a scaled-down concert version, dropping any bells and whistles.

Carnegie Hall today announced the names of the 109 outstanding young musicians selected from across the country for the ninth annual National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America (NYO-USA). The members of the 2022 orchestra—ages 16–19, hailing from 34 US states—have been recognized by Carnegie Hall as being among the finest players in the country following a comprehensive and highly selective audition process.
