Stage and screen legend Hal Linden recently appeared on Showbiz Nation Live! at Sunset Gower Studios in Hollywood.

Victoria Playhouse Petrolia (VPP) has announced that Emmy Award winner MICHAEL LEARNED, and Tony/Emmy Award winner HAL LINDEN have joined the company of ON GOLDEN POND, running June 2 to 21, 2020. Ms. Learned is best known for her iconic role as Olivia Walton on The Waltons. Ms. Learned is a four-time Emmy Award-winning actress, three for her work as Olivia Walton, and one for her role as Mary Benjamin in her own series Nurse. She is also a three-time Golden Globe nominee. She continues to have a thriving career both on the stage and screen. Ms. Learned appeared at the VPP in Love Letters, co-starring TV husband Ralph Waite (John Walton Sr.) and Driving Miss Daisy.

The 2019 theatrical season has afforded me the opportunity to see several fantastic plays and musicals, unfortunately, Ken Ludwig's SHERWOOD THE ADVENTURES OF ROBIN HOOD does not rank among them. Yes, if you like slapstick, old jokes, and sword fights then it does provide a nice evening of entertainment and several moments of raucous humor. It tells the tale of Hugh Pendleton, an actor drained of artistic passion after having played the character of Scrooge one too many times, which leads to Pendleton encountering three ghosts of his own. A cast of 4 actors plays 17 different characters in this hilarious new look at a classic that reminds us that the most jaded among us can find magic in the holiday season- and in the theater as well!
