Grace, an electrifying musical celebrating the perseverance of family and the power of tradition by American composer Nolan Williams Jr., will make its world premiere at Ford’s Theatre in Washington in spring 2022, directed and choreographed by Robert Barry Fleming.

Studio-MLA, a world-renowned landscape architect firm, has been selected to design the new Community Park that will replace over one thousand parking spaces at Fair Park. The new park is the first project to come out of the Fair Park Master Plan Update, which recently received the Unbuilt Dream/Study Award from the Greater Dallas Planning Council. The decision announced today was made by Fair Park First, Spectra, and Biederman Redevelopment Ventures (BRV)—the management and operations team of Fair Park.

Applications have now opened for the ABO's latest round of grants from its Sirens Fund which offers UK orchestras with financial support for projects to raise the awareness and appreciation of music written by historic women composers from around the world.

Renaissance Performing Arts has just announced the upcoming production of Cinderella: The Broadway Musical. Cinderella will be performed on the Renaissance stage November 13-14 and 20-21 at 8:00 PM, and November 15 and 22 at 2:30 PM with at-home streaming available beginning November 16.

Cape Cod Chamber Orchestra (CCCO), the region's newest professional orchestra, presents a holiday season benefit concert A Mostly English Holiday, on Sunday, December 15, 3 pm, at Pilgrim Congregational Church, 533 Main Street, Rt. 28, Harwich Port. Proceeds from the performance benefit in part the Alzheimer's Family Support Center of Cape Cod. A pre-concert talk by Conductor Matthew Scinto will be held at 2:15 pm.

Cape Cod Chamber Orchestra (CCCO), the region's newest professional orchestra, announces Season Two: Towards the Sea, a 2019-20 season of four performances.  The orchestra is conducted by Music Director Matthew Scinto.

Audiences have a final chance to 'Seize the Day!' - tickets are now available for 'Disney's Newsies: The Broadway Musical!,' playing in U.S. movie theaters for three days only on Thursday, February 16 at 7:00 p.m., Saturday February 18 at 12:55 p.m. and Wednesday, February 22 at 7:00 p.m. (all local times). Marieann Meringolo's show "Between Yesterday and Tomorrow" The Songs of Alan & Marilyn Bergman has been playing at Feinstein's/54 Below and Broadwaywolrd was there for the closing night. The New York Times' Stephen Holden has noted, 'Ms. Meringolo, a singer who bares some physical and vocal resemblance to Barbra Streisand...is not shy about emoting in grand style. She also has a sense of humor that comes into play at appropriate moments."

Nashville actor and NFL Hall of Famer Eddie George, who makes his Broadway debut Tuesday night in the iconic musical Chicago, was named First Night's Outstanding Leading Actor in a Play for his searing portrayal of a former slave haunted by the spectre of abuse in Nashville Repertory Theatre's The Whipping Man. Rene Dunshee Copeland, producing artistic director of Nashville Rep, was named Outstanding Director of a Play, while her three-actor ensemble (which included James Rudolph and Matthew Rosenbaum) were awarded as First Night's Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Play for their rendition of the Matthew Lopez play.

There's a very good chance that Belmont University musical theater student Grace Williams is going through some separation anxiety this week. Along with her castmastes and the creative team, she bade farewell to Gypsy – the stunning revival of the iconic Broadway musical mounted by Franklin-based Studio Tenn – on Sunday after a run that drew unanimous acclaim from the critics and inspired audience accolades throughout the run. As a member of the show's ensemble, Grace played a variety of roles in director Matt Logan's imaginative staging of the show.

Tennessee Williams' classic A Streetcar Named Desire is revered as one of the greatest plays of the 20th century with Blanche DuBois and Stanley Kowalski, two of the most fascinating characters in theatrical history. Written in the 40s, the play does have many dated elements, but given a taut, well-honed production, its beautifully poetic passages still inspire...and its raw passions can ignite fireworks. Now onstage at the group rep in NoHo, Streetcar may be a daring choice for this company, but under L. Flint Esquerra's caring and detailed direction and with four actors perfectly cast in the lead roles, it is something to sing about.

James Morrison, Australia's world-renowned virtuoso jazz musician, has generously agreed to perform with The Metropolitan Orchestra under the artistic directorship of Sarah Grace-Williams at a charity concert at the brand new state-of-the-art Concert Hall at the Concourse, Chatswood today, November 3, with all proceeds going to the Pain Management Research Institute - a joint initiative of the University of Sydney and Royal North Shore Hospital.
