This afternoon, Disney+ made its D23 Expo debut with its first-ever showcase presentation, announcing six new series in development and revealing key details about the highly anticipated streaming service to an enthusiastic audience at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim. The event showcased the sweeping array of talent with in-person and video appearances from the stars of Disney+'s slate of originals from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic and included sneak peeks, trailer premieres, and exclusive news about the service and its upcoming projects. Actress Yvette Nicole Brown, who stars in the Disney+ original film “Lady and the Tramp,” hosted the lively presentation, welcoming Kevin Mayer, chairman, Direct-to-Consumer & International, to the stage to kick off the show.
Jade Jackson Announces New August Tour Dates With Grace VanderWaal

Just weeks after the late June release of her critically-acclaimed sophomore album Wilderness, Jade Jackson is excited to announce new summer tour dates with Grace VanderWaal. The tour will begin this Sunday, August 11 and will include two shows at Los Angeles's El Rey Theatre on August 22 and 28. Jackson also has a run of European tour dates coming up this fall that will begin on September 18 in Paris. All upcoming dates are listed below.

Thursday night, at the invite-only Women of Jammcard JammJam event, Lauren Jauregui brought down the house alongside a slew of surprise guests like Chika, Sheléa, Madame Gandhi and Mads Paige. Hosted by Jammcard, the Music Professionals Network, the room was filled with a powerful energy, both onstage and in the audience, were captivated by the one-of-a-kind performance that only takes place at the JammJam. Backing Jauregui, Chika, Sheléa and the other artists who jumped in to perform were some of the top female musicians in the scene, including Nicole Row (Panic at the Disco), Kat Dyson (Prince), Angie Swan (David Byrne/Adam Lambert), Bianca Richardson (Willow Smith), Kyle Moscovich (Macklemore/Kanye West), Bonnie McIntosh (Selena Gomez), Ayla Tesler-Mabe (18 year old guitar influencer), and Victoria Theodore (Beyoncé, Stevie Wonder).

A whole lot of rhythm was goin' down at Live House in Los Angeles on Thursday, May 9, at the 'George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic JammJam' presented by Jammcard. George Clinton, the man who invented P-funk, was in attendance to witness stellar roof-tearing performances by some of his best-known acolytes including Ice Cube, Anderson .Paak, CeeLo Green, Eddie Griffin, Battlecat plus members of the original Parliament Funkadelic. Clinton testified, 'They had me crying like a bitch with tears of joy.'

Recording Academy Announces Industry-Wide Initiative To Expand Opportunities For Female Producers and Engineers

Today, the Recording Academy's Task Force on Diversity and Inclusion announced an unprecedented new initiative that aims to expand opportunities for female music producers and engineers. The Producer & Engineer Inclusion Initiative is the inaugural action of a larger strategy to address gender inequity in the music industry. According to a 2018 USC Annenberg Inclusion Initiative study, only 2 percent of music producers and 3 percent of engineers/mixers across popular music are women. This initiative is the first step in a broader effort to improve those numbers and increase diversity and inclusion for all in the music industry.

The 2018 MTV EMA nominees have been revealed. Camila Cabello is the most nominated artist with nods in six categories including 'Best Artist' and 'Best Video' for 'Havana' featuring Young Thug. LOVELOUD Festival Powered By AT&T reached its goal of raising $1,000,000 Saturday night at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City, UT. This year the LOVELOUD Foundation is donating its proceeds from the festival to LGBTQ+ organizations including Encircle, the Tegan and Sara Foundation and the Trevor Project. The SOLD-OUT festival saw people coming from all corners of country, and Lt. Governor Spencer Cox read an official proclamation from Governor Gary Herbert that declared July 28, 2018 'LOVELOUD Day' in Utah.

MTV today announced nominations across all gender neutral categories for the 2018 “VMAs.” The list includes dozens of artists whose reach and influence have elevated music's relevancy within the cultural conversation. Cardi B received nods in 10 categories, including “Video,” “Song” and “Artist of the Year,” and The Carters secured eight, including “Video of the Year,” “Best Collaboration” and “Best Hip Hop” for their recent hit single “APES**T.” Other top contenders include Childish Gambino, Drake and Bruno Mars. The “VMAs” will air live from Radio City Music Hall on Monday, August 20 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT, and across MTV's global network of channels in more than 180 countries and territories, reaching more than half a billion households around the world.
