Lincoln Center TheaterLCT3 produces the world premiere of In the Green, a new musical by Grace McLean, directed by Lee Sunday Evans. The production began performances Saturday, June 8 and will run for eight weeks only through Sunday, August 4 at the Claire Tow Theater (150 West 65 Street). Opening night is Thursday, June 27. In the Green's cast features Grace McLean, Rachael Duddy, Ashley Perez Flanagan, Mia Pak, and Hannah Whitney.

Ghostlight Records has announced that the new musical Alice By Heart is available for digital pre-order starting today, Friday, June 21. The album will be released for digital download and streaming on Friday, June 28.

Lincoln Center TheaterLCT3 produces the world premiere of IN THE GREEN, a new musical by Grace McLean, directed by Lee Sunday Evans.

The Public Theater's Free Shakespeare in the Park production of MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING, directed by Kenny Leon, opened just last night at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park, running through Sunday, June 23.

Lincoln Center Theater (under the direction of Andre Bishop) has announced that it will produce Intimate Apparel, a new opera with music by Ricky Ian Gordon and a libretto by Lynn Nottage, based on her critically acclaimed play.  The production, which will be directed by Bartlett Sher, will begin previews Thursday, February 27 and open on Monday, March 23 at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater (150 West 65 Street). 

Rehearsals have begun for the Lincoln Center Theater/LCT3 world premiere of IN THE GREEN, a new musical by Grace McLean, directed by Lee Sunday Evans.  McLean will also be featured in the production, along with Rachael Duddy, Ashley Perez Flanagan, Mia Pak, and Hannah Whitney. Dan Safer, a downtown maverick and the Artistic Director of Witness Relocation (called a purveyor of lo-fi mayhem by Time Out NY) returns to the stage as a lead performer in his work in Surveys the Prairie Of Your Room, a duet co-created and performed with leading WR company member Ae Andreas, featuring original music by OBIE Award-winning composer and longtime company collaborator Heather Christian.

A fish with a porpoise, a lady of many (mad) hats, Grace McLean is currently living life down the rabbit hole in the thrilling new musical Alice By Heart.

Ghostlight Records has announced it will record a cast album of the new musical Alice By Heart. The show's current New York premiere production from MCC Theater (Robert LuPone, Bernard Telsey, William Cantler, Artistic Directors; Blake West, Executive Director) was recently extended through April 7. Alice By Heart has a book by Steven Sater and Jessie Nelson; music by Duncan Sheik, lyrics by Steven Sater, and direction by Jessie Nelson. Choreography is by Rick and Jeff Kuperman. The album - produced by Duncan Sheik and Kurt Deutsch, with Craig Balsam and Cody Lassen serving as executive producers - is being recorded March 24-25.

Multi-award winning composer, lyricist and playwright Jason Robert Brown is the man behind the well-loved scores of Songs for a New World, Parade, The Bridges of Madison County and more. He will perform his music in concert at the Theatre Royal Haymarket later this month featuring West End stars Rachel Tucker, Tyrone Huntley and Carrie Hope Fletcher as special guests. According to this reviewer's admittedly casual bit of Googling, the first Broadway production based on Lewis Carroll's 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland' was playwright Alice Gerstenberg's version, which opened at the Booth in 1915. But undoubtedly there were many other variations before then.
