The Public Theater officially opened the MOBILE UNIT's production of Shakespeare's A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM on Friday, November 2. Directed by Jenny Koons, the free sit-down run of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM follows a three-week tour to five boroughs bringing Shakespeare to audiences who have limited or no access to the arts. A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM began previews on Sunday, October 28 and will run through Saturday, November 17.

SPACE on Ryder Farm--a nonprofit residency program for artists and activists located on a 223 year-old working organic farm in Brewster, NY--announced that applications for all of its 2019 residency programs are now open for submission. Due to increasing demand, SPACE announced in July that it was changing its submission process to allow the organization sufficient time for review.

THE GREEN ROOM 42 - Broadway's newest intimate concert venue - has announced the return of Blue Jupiter's "A Cappella Party" on Friday, May 25 at 9:30 PM. Every month, Blue Jupiter's "A Cappella Party" features an evening of a cappella music to that features songs from pop and Broadway, to doo-wop and barbershop. The May edition of Blue Jupiter's "A Cappella Party" celebrates women in a cappella, including special guests Stilletta, Grace McLean, and Martini Glass.

The MacDowell Colony has awarded fellowships to 84 artists from 18 states and six countries, from Colorado to Virginia and from Portugal to Nigeria. They are working in seven disciplines, and 43 percent identify as culturally diverse while 56 percent are women. The fellowships are for upcoming summer residencies at one of the nation's leading contemporary arts organizations.
