 Bucks County Playhouse announced a series of post-show talkbacks with Ray Didinger and guests, following Tuesday and Thursday evening performances of Didinger’s hit play, “Tommy and Me.”

Emmy-winner and Tony-nominee Gordon Clapp, who played Detective Greg Medavoy for all 12 seasons on ABC’s “NYPD Blue,” will star as Tommy McDonald in a new production of Ray Didinger’s “Tommy and Me,” at Bucks County Playhouse, May 19 through June 17.

New Jersey Repertory Company (NJRep) in Long Branch will present 'Our Shrinking, Shrinking World' written by Richard Dresser and directed by Joe Cacaci. Broadwayworld had the pleasure of interviewing Kevin O'Rourke who plays Dr. Lyman Hidalgo-Nyquist in the show about his career and the upcoming show at NJ Rep.

PRU PAYNE, directed by Sean Daniels and featuring Mimi Kennedy and Gordon Clapp ~ Arizona Theatre Company's emotionally powerful production of Steven Drukman's play runs through April 16th at Herberger Theater Center in Phoenix.

Mimi Kennedy renders an imperious and brassy Pru Payne (her public moniker). She's a renowned intellectual, feared for her trenchant criticism and scathing takedowns of mediocre aspirations (a faint redolence of critic Michiko Kakutani's public feuds with John Updike and Norman Mailer et al). Pru exists in the lofty penthouse of her intellect. She deflects the impulse to linger in the subterranean region of emotions -- until she loses her bearing and meets Gus Cudahy.

Arizona Theatre Company has announced that the world premiere of Pru Payne, winner of the Edgerton Foundation New Play Award, is coming to Tucson and Phoenix this spring.

The Players' Ring of Portsmouth's new hit comedy MOONGLOW, by Jack Neary, will be presented for four performances only at the Firehouse Center for the Arts in Newburyport on October 6-9, co-produced by the Actors Studio of Newburyport and the Players' Ring.

The evening will feature performances and remarks by Norm Lewis, Heidi Blickenstaff, Joshua Henry, Tom Kitt, Stephanie D'Abruzzo, Tyler Bunch, Scott Richards, Paulette Haupt, Ellie Ellsworth and others.  

Today, January 16, Broadway says goodbye to four beloved productions. Flying Over Sunset will conclude its run at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre following 28 previews and 35 regular performances; Clyde's wraps up at the Hayes Theatre following 24 previews and 61 regular performances; Ain't Too Proud finishes it's almost three-year run at the Imperial Theatre after 21 previews and 488 regular performances; and To Kill A Mockingbird pauses performances at the Shubert Theatre following 45 previews and 626 regular performances.

Original cast member Baize Buzan will return to To Kill a Mockingbird opposite Greg Kinnear.

The new Park Theatre will present its first stage play production, First Night, on December 28 and 29 at 7:30pm each night in the 333-seat Eppes Auditorium.

Producer Barry Diller today announced the complete cast for the Broadway return of Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird, the most successful American play in Broadway history. Written by Aaron Sorkin with direction by Tony Award winner Bartlett Sher, To Kill a Mockingbird is set to reopen on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at the Shubert Theatre.
