The Muse Project, in association with The Tank, will present Musings: a collection of Mini Muse presentations at The Flea Theater as a part of their Anchor Partnership. The Muse Project gives women performers the time, space, and opportunity to experiment with and explore their fantasy projects. Musings will showcase the exciting, fresh, paradigm-shifting storytelling that 5 of New York's leading stage actresses have developed through intensive workshops, called Mini Muses. The week will culminate in a party on October 19th, the 'Mini Gala' - a wine and cheese event to celebrate the week's presentations; and 'Tea Time,' a one-of-a-kind Muse pilot program, where a veteran stage actress discusses her experiences building her career. Actress Florencia Lozano is set to partake as the Tea Time guest.

Bay Street Theater and Sag Harbor Center for the Arts is pleased to announce that Confessions of a Mormon Boy, a special Mainstage Season bonus production, is now in rehearsal. Confessions of a Mormon Boy is written and performed by Outer Critics Circle Award Nominee Steven Fales and directed by Bay Street Theater's Artistic Director, Scott Schwartz. The one-man play will have five showings only from July 17 - July 22 and is Part 1 in Fales' new Mormon Boy Trilogy. Performances will be held on Tuesday, July 17 at 7 pm; Thursday, July 19 at 5 pm for a special Twilight Performance; Friday, July 20 at 8 pm; Saturday, July 21 at 5 pm for a second Twilight Performance; and Sunday, July 22 at 2 pm. FOXTROT to Close The 31st Israel Film Festival in Los Angeles

The Israel Film Festival in Los Angeles, which continues through November 21st, has named Foxtrot, Israel's submission for this year's Academy Award for Best Foreign Film, as its Closing Night film. Meir Fenigstein, founder and executive director of the Festival, will be honored on November 27th with the Mensch International Foundation Award which recognizes individuals committed to Holocaust education and devoted to helping humanity. The evening commemorates the 70th anniversary of United Nations resolution 181, the 1947 partition of Palestine and will also present posthumous honors to Menachem Begin, David Ben-Gurion and Golda Meir.
2017/18 Professional Training Institute Ensemble Announced

Milwaukee Repertory Theater is pleased to announce the 2017/18 Professional Training Institute (PTI) ensemble, an advanced actor training program for students in 8th-12th grade who may have an interest in pursuing a career as a professional theater artist. The 2017/18 PTI ensemble includes Elliott Brotherhood, Juliana Garcia-Malacara-Flynn, Lindsay Gleason, Durran Goodwin Jr., Kamani Graham, Meguire Hennes, Nathan Kabara, Maricella Kessenich, Logan Muñoz, Bradley Nowacek, Reese Parish, Dominic Schiro, Payton Elizabeth Stovall, Kenyon Terrell, Saleaqua Winston, and Mainyia Xiong. These sixteen students hailing from fourteen different high schools will receive free training from some of the top theater professionals in the world, culminating in a capstone summer performance where they will be employed as paid, professional actors.
