On February 23 and 24, Ballet Theatre of Maryland premieres seven new works in Momentum: A Mixed Bill at Maryland Hall.

Created and directed by Laura Connors Hull, Lenny Mendez and Will Stevenson, with music by Matt Conner and lyrics by Stephen Gregory Smith, Creative Cauldron's, The Princess and the Goblin is a humor-fueled musical adventure specifically for young audiences but a delight for any age. The Princess and the Goblin runs November 4-20.

Creative Cauldron’s twenty-year anniversary and 2022-23 Season, its first producing entirely original works continues with the Learning Theater original musical: The Princess and the Goblin. Created and directed by Laura Connors Hull, Lenny Mendez and Will Stevenson, with music by Matt Conner and lyrics by Stephen Gregory Smith, Creative Cauldron’s, The Princess and the Goblin is a humor-fueled musical adventure specifically for young audiences but a delight for any age.

The 2022-23 Season will mark Creative Cauldron’s twenty year-anniversary and its first season of producing entirely original works.

William Shakespeare's joyous and popular comedy Much Ado About Nothing will open at Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival, the professional theatre on the campus of DeSales University. The show previews July 13 and 14, opens July 15, and runs through August 7 in the Schubert Theatre at the Labuda Center for the Performing Arts.

Presented by Fellowship for Performing Arts, The Most Reluctant Convert: The Untold Story of C.S. Lewis is a new film tracing the spiritual journey of renowned author of The Chronicles of Narnia. The new biopic, directed by double-Emmy and double-BAFTA Award-winning filmmaker Norman Stone , stars Max McLean and Nicholas Ralph. 

The cast of the film includes David Gang, Richard Harrington, Amy Alexander, and Michael Ward. The film is based on the hit U.S. play C.S. Lewis on Stage: The Most Reluctant Convert. The Acting Company (Founded by John Houseman and Margot Harley; Ian Belknap, Artistic Director; Elisa Spencer-Kaplan, Executive Director) announced casting today for the next reading in the 23rd John McDonald Salon Reading Series, Jessica Swale's Olivier Award-winning, music-filled comedy Nell Gwynn. The reading will take place on Monday, June 24 at 7 PM at the Mainstage Theater at Playwrights Horizons (416 W. 42nd Street, New York, NY). The Summer Theatre of New Canaan, recognized by theatre reviewers as one of Connecticut's premier professional summer theatres, opens its first production of the summer season, The Light Princess, in its new downtown New Canaan theatre location on Saturday, June 22nd at 3pm. A New York Times Critics' pick family and children's show, the Light Princess is a whimsical musical tale of a Princess who is cursed to have no gravity. The King and Queen must find the Princess' gravity before her 16th birthday. Based on the short story by George MacDonald, The Light Princess is written for younger audiences, but is also a joy for adults. Children will love the music, characters and seeing the light princess float over the stage!

Following its acclaimed 2018 national tour, C.S. Lewis Onstage: The Most Reluctant Convert starring Max McLean as C.S. Lewis has eleven performances at The Broad Stage Thursday, July 11 to Sunday, July 21 (press opening is Friday, July 12). The play is presented in Santa Monica by Fellowship for Performing Arts, the producers of The Screwtape Letters and The Great Divorce.

In this adaptation of George MacDonald's classic, a mischievous and spirited troupe of performers tell the tale of a little girl who just happens to be a princess, who was put under a magic spell that left her weightless. The efforts of the baffled royal family to 'bring her back down to earth' are at times humorous and never quite successful until a wandering prince happens by. Could he be the one to break the spell of the evil Princess Makemnoit who has devilish plans to drain the lake, which is the only thing that brings the princess joy?
