The New York Times reports that Gregory Itzin, most famous for his portrayal of Charles Logan in Fox's hit series '24,' will join the previously announced Norbert Leo Butz (as 'Jeffrey Skilling'), Stephen Kunken (as 'Andy Fastow') in the upcoming Broadway production of Lucy Prebble's 'Enron.' Itzin will portray disgraced Enron chairman Kenneth Lay.

Theatre of the Expendable (Mare Cognitum, Cherry Docs) announces their fifth season, which will include Alan M. Berks' Almost Exactly Like Us and Conor McPherson's St. Nicholas. Both productions will be directed by TotE's Artistic Director, Jesse Edward Rosbrow, and will play at The WorkShop Theater.

THE WEIR will end its run at San Jose Rep on February 21st.

Extant Arts Company (Greg Taubman, Artistic Director) will play the final performance of Rebecca Gilman's melancholy romance Blue Surge on February 7, 2010.

Rehearsals begin this week for Goodman Theatre's world premiere of A True History of the Johnstown Flood by Rebecca Gilman, whose work was most recently included in Time magazine's 'Best Theatre Productions of the Decade.' Commissioned by the Goodman and directed by Robert Falls, A True History of the Johnstown Flood runs March 13 - April 18, 2010 in the Goodman's Albert Theatre. The Great Britain premiere of The Early Bird, by George Devine award-winning playwright Leo Butler, opens on 2 February 2010 at the Finborough Theatre (Press Night: Friday, 5 February 2010), part of the [ NEW YEAR | NEW PLAYS SEASON ], celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Finborough Theatre.

The Times Online profiles writer Lucy Prebble whose play 'Enron' has achieved critical acclaim and is now Broadway-bound. 'Enron' had its premiere in Chichester, has since transferred to the West End's Noel Coward Theatre, and is now up on the marquee awaiting the start of its Broadway previews slated for April 2010 - and all within the span of one year.
