The North American tour of Lincoln Center Theater's critically acclaimed production of Lerner & Loewe's MY FAIR LADY will be a part of Seattle's 2021-2022 Broadway season. Directed by Bartlett Sher, the North American tour will play The Paramount Theatre from Tuesday, December 28 through Sunday, January 2, 2022.
The Resident Acting Company, formed three years ago by members of the Pearl Theater Company, has been producing Play Dates With The RAC throughout the pandemic. They have just announced casting for an upcoming “Script In Hand” live – in person performance of Androcles and the Lion by George Bernard Shaw on December 6th.
The Tony-nominated Lincoln Center production of the classic musical, My Fair Lady, is headed for the West End! Bartlett Sher's loverly production will begin performances at the English National Opera's London Coliseum in May 2022.
Bartlett Sher is a multi-award-winning director of productions including The Light in the Piazza and the recent revival of The King & I. Sher’s Tony Award-winning Lincoln Center production of My Fair Lady will transfer to the London Coliseum for a limited summer engagement in May 2022. There's a brief appearance by a group of protest sign carrying suffragettes during a street scene in this Lincoln Center 2018 revival of Lerner and Loewe's classic musical My Fair Lady, and it may be the only bridge between this distinctly old-fashioned early 20th century Edwardian perspective and today's post-feminist world. This revival, nominated for 10 Tony Awards and directed by award winning director Bartlett Sher is a beautiful looking opportunity to experience one of musical theatre's greatest chestnuts.
SHAW2020's production of VILLAGE WOOING - a Comedietta for Two Voices, written nearly 100 years ago by George Bernard Shaw, has won the London Pub Theatres Standing Ovation 'Rediscovery' Award.
