It is their first play to take place in the future and an utterly original work from Theatre Three Collaborative. HB Studio, one of New York's original acting studios, has announced UTA HAGEN at 100, a series of special events and workshops celebrating the centenary of its master teacher, the legendary actress and activist Uta Hagen. UTA HAGEN at 100, honoring the three-time Tony Award winning actress and her legacy as a pioneering theater artist, activist and master teacher of HB Studio, will kick off on Monday, February 25 with a series of centennial events. The celebration will culminate on Monday, June 10 with a centennial gala honoring the actress, whose 100th birthday is Wednesday, June 12.

In 'The Beekeeper's Daughter' by Karen Malpede, a pregnant Muslim refugee from Bosnia is embraced by an eccentric American family on an island in the Adriatic.  The island is a sanctuary, but it is only a short distance from the region's genocidal civil war. What happens between them turns everyone's life inside out and upside down yet results in a healing journey.  Theater for the New City (TNC) and Theater Three Collaborative will present the piece June 2 to 26, directed by the author, in TNC's Cino Theater.
