First Nations Dialogues Presents A Series Of Indigenous-led Performances, Discussions, Workshops, And Ceremony Across New York City

First Nations Dialogues Lenapehoking/New York is an initiative that provides unprecedented exposure and a focus on Indigenous performing arts and artists based in Canada, the U.S., and Australia in partnership with multiple contemporary live performance platforms across New York City, January 5–12, 2019. First Nations Dialogues also kick-starts the development of the groundbreaking Global First Nations Performance Network (GFNPN), a pilot initiative focused on cultural change through the commissiong, touring, and presenting of Indigenous performance and building demand and capacity for the same within the presenting sector.

The Front Porch Arts Collective partners with the Lyric Stage Company to start their second season with BREATH & IMAGINATION, Daniel Beaty's musical about Roland Hayes. First-time director Maurice Emmanuel Parent draws tour de force performance from Davron S. Monroe as the acclaimed African-American opera singer, with strong support from Yewande Odetoyinbo, Doug Gerber, and Nile Scott Hawver.

Aleshea Harris's WHAT TO SEND UP WHEN IT GOES DOWN Extends Through December 16

The Movement Theatre Company is proud to announce the extension of the New York Premiere production of WHAT TO SEND UP WHEN IT GOES DOWN by Aleshea Harris (Is God Is), directed by Whitney White (Macbeth in Stride). Originally scheduled to play its final performance on December 8,  2018, WHAT TO SEND UP WHEN IT GOES DOWN will now play an additional week through December 16, 2018.

Ali Ewoldt to Appear Alongside Houston Symphony for VERY MERRY POPS

The Houston Symphony is decking the halls with Principal POPS Conductor Steven Reineke as it welcomes Broadway star Ali Ewoldt this holiday season for the annual Very Merry Pops extravaganza at Jones Hall 8 p.m. Dec. 7-8, and 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Dec. 9.

Irish Rep Reading Series To Present Gary Duggan's SPOTLESS

Irish Repertory Theatre begins its 13th season of the Irish Rep Reading Series with a staged reading of Gary Duggan's play Spotless. Directed by Irish Rep Literary Manager Kara Manning, the reading will take place on Friday, December 7, 2018 at 3:00pm at Irish Repertory Theatre (132 West 22nd Street) on the Francis J. NH Theatre Project Celebrates The Holidays With IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE: A RADIO PLAY

New Hampshire Theatre Project celebrates their 30th anniversary season with a special holiday production of It's a Wonderful Life.  Joe Landry has re-envisioned the beloved film classic as a 1940's style radio play.  Five seasoned actors bring George, Clarence, Mary and all the residents of Bedford Falls to life on that fateful Christmas Eve - over 40 different roles. The show features holiday music and a foley artist playing live sound effects.
