Renowned travel expert Samantha Brown, host of PBS's two-time Emmy winning (Outstanding Host and Outstanding Travel/Adventure Program) series, “Samantha Brown's Places to Love,” returns with her third season on Saturday, January 11 (check local schedule for exact date and times). This season, Samantha will take viewers to thirteen destinations, both in the U.S. and abroad, uncovering a deeper connection to travel by highlighting the people who are changing, challenging and strengthening the places they call home. Season 3 of “Samantha Brown's Places to Love” is sponsored by AmaWaterways, AAA Travel and Rocky Mountaineer.

Next Music From Copland House Concert Announced At The Graduate Center, CUNY

Having just triumphantly launched its ambitious new concert series in collaboration with The Graduate Center of the City University of New York, the Music from Copland House ensemble returns for The Listening Eye, a program as vibrantly colored in sound as in sight. Eye meets ear at this multi-media concert of music inspired by line drawings and paintings by Pablo Picasso, bold abstracts of Robert Motherwell, stained glass of Frank Lloyd Wright, and ancient ceramics and statuary of the Incas. The hour-long program is the second in the ensemble's series showcasing a century of America's rich musical legacy, and takes place on Monday, December 2 at 7.30pm at the acoustically-superb Baisley Powell Elebash Hall in the heart of Manhattan.

a??a??a??a??a??a??a??The Bay Street Theater has announced it will hold a special preview screening of COLLEGE BEHIND BARS, the new documentary series directed by Alfred I. duPont-Columbia and Peabody-Award winning filmmaker Lynn Novick (THE VIETNAM WAR, PROHIBITION, FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT, THE WAR). The four-hour series directed and produced by Novick and produced by longtime collaborator Sarah Botstein (THE VIETNAM WAR, PROHIBITION, THE WAR, JAZZ) revealing the transformative power of higher education through the experiences of incarcerated men and women, will air on PBS on Monday, November 25 and Tuesday, November 26 at 9 p.m. ET. The preview screening followed by a talk back with director Lynn Novick and BPI alums Dyjuan Tatro & Sebastian Yoon will take place at Bay Street Theater on Friday, August 23 at 4:30 pm. Tickets are available online at baystreet.org or by a suggested donation of $20 at the door.
