The national tour of the 2019 Drama Desk Award winner for Outstanding Musical “The Prom” will play at Center Theatre Group / Ahmanson Theatre from August 9 through September 11, 2022 and will open August 10, 2022.

Westport Country Playhouse will stage “4000 Miles,” a Pulitzer Prize finalist and Obie Award-winning comedy/drama, written by Amy Herzog and directed by David Kennedy Playhouse associate artistic director, from August 23 – September 4. The four-member cast for “4000 Miles” features Mia Dillon as Vera Joseph with Clay Singer as Leo Joseph-Connell, Lea DiMarchi as Bec, and Phoebe Holden as Amanda.

XANADU, the musical hit that enchanted South Bay audiences for 11 weeks in 2011 at The Retro Dome, returns for a limited run at San Jose Playhouse. Performances will take place as part of 3Below Theaters’ “Up On The Roof” program, an outdoor entertainment festival taking place on the roof of the 2nd Street and San Carlos Garage above 3Below Theaters.

Carter Calvert, the Broadway actress-singer who previously wowed audiences at Bucks County Playhouse as the iconic country music legend in “Always ... Patsy Cline,” will bring her one-woman show, “Viva La Diva,” back to the historic playhouse on Sunday, August 14 at 7:00 pm.

Actor’s Express will continue its 34th season with a production of Desire Under the Elms, a landmark American play by Eugene O’Neill, American playwright and Nobel laureate in literature. Performances run August 6-28, 2022.

The sound of music will once again fill the air of the Poconos Mountain region with the first major event to be held at POCONOS PARKTM. Brantley Gilbert and Brett Young will headline COWBOY LUAUTM, a two-day country music festival, on Friday, September 16, and Saturday, September 17, 2022.
