The Met: Live in HD, the Metropolitan Opera's award-winning series of live high-definition cinema simulcasts, presents Richard Wagner's LOHENGRIN, Saturday, March 18 at 12 pm ET, in the Warner Theatre's Nancy Marine Studio Theatre. 

Wagner's masterpiece Lohengrin, in a new production by internationally renowned director François Girard, broadcasts live to cinemas worldwide for the first time on Saturday 18th March at 4pm as part of The Met: Live in HD series.

Wagner's soaring masterpiece Lohengrin makes its triumphant return to the Met Opera's stage after 17 years. The Ridgefield Playhouse will host a Live in HD screening on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 12pm as part of the FirstLight Home Care Classical Series, underwritten by Liz & Steven Goldstone, and Sabina Slavin, and with support from Whistle Stop Bakery.

The Met’s new production of Richard Wagner’s LOHENGRIN showcases startlingly good singing from tenor Piotr Beczala in the title role, supported ably and nobly by soprano Tamara Wilson’s Elsa, bass-baritone Evgeny Nikitin’s Telramund and bass Gunther Groissbock’s King Heinrich. And soprano Christine Goerke’s evil Ortrud nearly steals the show. With the Met’s orchestra and chorus in glorious form, led by music director Yannick Nezet-Seguin in the pit, the performance made you want to scream and yell for more.

New National Theatre has announced the opera program for the 2022/23 season, marking the 25th anniversary of the New National Theatre, Tokyo. 

The Metropolitan Opera today announced its 2022–23 season, which features seven new productions, the most in ten seasons. Opening Night is September 27 with the company premiere of Cherubini’s Medea, starring soprano Sondra Radvanovsky in the title role alongside tenor Matthew Polenzani in David McVicar’s new staging, conducted by Carlo Rizzi.

Puccini’s Tosca will return to The Metropolitan opera in David McVicar’s thrilling production December 2–March 12. 2021–22 season.
