Festival producers Doug Nevin and Michael Urie, in partnership with Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, and Festival Director Nick Mayo announce casting for the benefit closing night reading of Some Men, written by Terrence McNally

The 14th Annual Provincetown Tennessee Williams Theater Festival is pleased to announce the details of its full 2019 program in September, titled Tennessee Williams and Yukio Mishima.

Theatre at St. John's, in association with Yorick Theater Company, is announcing the first ever revival of Charles Ludlam's GALAS, starring and directed by Everett Quinton in celebration of Stonewall 50 and World Pride.

Queer|Art, New York City's home for the creative and professional development of LGBTQ+ artists, is pleased to announce the Summer 2019 season of Queer|Art|Film at IFC Center (323 Sixth Avenue at West 3rd St.), May 13-August 26. Curated by filmmakers Ira Sachs and Adam Baran, the season features films about (and starring) fierce, funny, and fabulous women, presented by a multigenerational lineup of queer drag icons, playwrights, and performance artists.

May is Lower East Side History Month, and Queer|Art is the new kid on the LES block, having recently relocated their offices from Nolita to the East Village this past year. Heralding their arrival to the neighborhood, they've organized four days of programming throughout May to celebrate the queer past, present, and future of their beloved new East Village home.

The Provincetown Tennessee Williams Theater Festival has announced two upcoming shows in its 14th annual season, as well as a workshop series sharing the craft of Japanese theater arts. Festival patrons from New York can now travel directly to Provincetown for the Festival on a round-trip charter bus.

S.P. Monahan's new comedy AUNT JACK will have its New York premiere in June 2019 at Theater for the New City's Community Space, 155 First Avenue. The production will be presented by Unstoppable Theater in association with Less Than Rent Theatre and will be directed by John Lampe.

The stars came out to celebrate Michael McKeever's vital new play, AFTER, produced by Penguin Rep at 59E59 Theaters. 

Unstoppable Theater in association with Less Than Rent Theatre will present a private, industry reading of AUNT JACK by S.P. Monahan on Monday, March 25th, at 7pm. Directed by John Lampe, the reading will star Charles Baran, Shauna Bloom, S.P. Monahan, Christopher Reyes, Morgan Sullivan, and Everett Quinton (The Mystery of Irma Vep).

Queer|Art, the New York City-based non-profit supporting the creative and professional development of LGBTQ artists, continues the Winter 2019 season of Queer|Art|Film at IFC Center on March 4 and April 8. Queer|Art|Film, presented by HBO, is a monthly screening series in which some of New York's most unique artists present and discuss the films that have most inspired them. This season Queer Art's flipping the script by inviting celebrated drag queens to present and discuss films that have inspired their craft in post-screening kikis. Curated by Adam Baran and Brooklyn drag diva Lady Quesadilla, this season entitled 'Winter's a Drag,' serves as the sequel to the 2014 Summer of Drag season. More info is below; screenings begin at 8pm.

A highlight of the season is a special experimental shorts program on the evening of December 3 (organized with legendary experimental filmmaker Barbara Hammer), which coincides with the announcement of the winner of the 2018 Barbara Hammer Lesbian Experimental Filmmaking Grant. Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) announces Writer-Director Communications Lab on Saturday, August 11, 2018 from 10am-6pm at Studios 353, 353 W. 48th Street, Studio B (basement). Registration is $75 for TRU members ($85 for non-members), $30 for an additional collaborator (writer), and registration for TRU Member observers is $30 ($40 for non-members). Writers must be accepted before purchasing a spot.
