Theater for the New City Stages World Premiere of SINGIN' IN THE E.R.

Sometimes a trip to the Emergency Room is so awful that it's just made for Theater of the Ridiculous.  That's the premise of 'Singin' in the E.R.,' the newest musical by Ruby Lynn Reyner, a star of John Vaccarro's Playhouse of the Ridiculous who has been called a female Jerry Lewis.

Theatre at St. John's, in association with Yorick Theater Company, presents the first ever revival of Charles Ludlam's GALAS, starring and directed by Everett Quinton in celebration of Stonewall 50 and World Pride. GALAS opens on Sunday, June 16th and will play a limited engagement through June 28th at the Theatre at St. John's (81 Christopher Street), a stone's throw from Stonewall and the play's original home, Ridiculous Theatrical Company. In this grand finale of a series saluting Quinton's artistry, opera diva extraordinaire Maria Magdalena Galas (rhymes with Callas) once again storms into the West Village with style, flair, and a whole lot of high comedy. Queer|Art|Film's Summer Season Announced

Queer|Art, New York City's home for the creative and professional development of LGBTQ+ artists, is pleased to announce the Summer 2019 season of Queer|Art|Film at IFC Center (323 Sixth Avenue at West 3rd St.), May 13-August 26. Curated by filmmakers Ira Sachs and Adam Baran, the season features films about (and starring) fierce, funny, and fabulous women, presented by a multigenerational lineup of queer drag icons, playwrights, and performance artists.

Heralding their arrival to the neighborhood, they've organized four days of programming throughout May to celebrate the queer past, present, and future of their beloved new East Village home.

AUNT JACK To Have New York Premiere At Theater For The New City

S.P. Monahan's new comedy AUNT JACK will have its New York premiere in June 2019 at Theater for the New City's Community Space, 155 First Avenue. The production will be presented by Unstoppable Theater in association with Less Than Rent Theatre and will be directed by John Lampe.

Everett Quinton And Charles Baran Star In Industry Reading Of AUNT JACK

Unstoppable Theater in association with Less Than Rent Theatre will present a private, industry reading of AUNT JACK by S.P. Monahan on Monday, March 25th, at 7pm. Directed by John Lampe, the reading will star Charles Baran, Shauna Bloom, S.P. Monahan, Christopher Reyes, Morgan Sullivan, and Everett Quinton (The Mystery of Irma Vep).

Queer|Art, the New York City-based non-profit supporting the creative and professional development of LGBTQ artists, continues the Winter 2019 season of Queer|Art|Film at IFC Center on March 4 and April 8. Queer|Art|Film, presented by HBO, is a monthly screening series in which some of New York's most unique artists present and discuss the films that have most inspired them. This season Queer Art's flipping the script by inviting celebrated drag queens to present and discuss films that have inspired their craft in post-screening kikis. Curated by Adam Baran and Brooklyn drag diva Lady Quesadilla, this season entitled 'Winter's a Drag,' serves as the sequel to the 2014 Summer of Drag season. More info is below; screenings begin at 8pm.
