Woodie King Jr.’s New Federal Theatre in association with The Peccadillo Theater Company will present the World Premiere of Gong Lum’s Legacy by Charles L. White.

This month, FEINSTEIN’S/54 BELOW, Broadway’s Supper Club & Private Event Destination, will present some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, jazz, and beyond.

Award-winning actress and vocalist Gabrielle Lee and her swinging four-piece jazz band will deliver an evening of ragtime, blues and Tin Pan Alley jazz standards celebrating Black History Month. A Tin Pan Alley Celebration of Black History Month plays at Feinstein’s/54 Below on Friday, February 11 at 7 PM.

The LCT SPOTLIGHT SERIES, Lincoln Center Theater’s free program of digital events, will continue on Thursday, April 29 with an audio performance of Bill Gunn’s 1989 play, THE FORBIDDEN CITY.  Directed by Seret Scott, THE FORBIDDEN CITY’s cast of 11 will feature James T. Signature Theatre has announced the full cast and creative team for After Midnight, the fourth production in the Signature Features 2021 Season. Featuring a cast of 12, headlined by Christopher Jackson and Nova Y. Payton, After Midnight showcases 28 of the big band era’s most famous songs, all framed by the poetry of Langston Hughes.

Paul Phillips, famed Broadway Actor and Stage Manager has passed away in Naples, Florida of natural causes at the age of 95. Paul Phillips was born on October 1, 1925 in Pleasantville, NY. Paul toured the country and worked summer stock for many years stage-managing such legendary performers as Charlton Heston, Groucho Marx, Ethel Waters, and more.

Last month, Florida Studio Theatre (FST) announced that it was cancelling the remainder of its 2019-2020 Winter Season due to the COVID-19 health crisis. As a result of these cancellations, FST projects a loss of over $1 million in revenue to date this season alone. Due to these losses, FST was forced to furlough 30 employeesa?"which accounts for 60% of its full-time staff.

Bay Area Cabaret will conclude its '19-'20 season with Tony Award-winner SANTINO FONTANA making his Bay Area debut on Sunday, May 10 at 7:30 pm in the Venetian Room of the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco. * Stephanie J. Block, who was previously announced to close the season, is postponing her Bay Area concert debut due to an unforeseen conflict and will perform in Bay Area Cabaret's '20-'21 season.
