State Theatre New Jersey has announced a special Christmas in July Sale from Friday, July 14 through Monday, July 31.

29-year-old Dawn Atkins has been promoted from Principal Soloist to Principal Dancer with Miami City Ballet.

On Saturday, June 17, at 7 pm at the Princeton Festival, the two-time Grammy Award-Winning Attacca Quartet pairs with dancers from the American Repertory Ballet for an Evening of Contemporary Ballet.

Do you remember the first dance performance you ever saw? What did you feel? What moved you? That natural love for dance and movement served as inspiration for American Repertory Ballet’s program, Movin’ + Groovin’ on March 25th at the Kaye Playhouse. The first NYC performance under Artistic Director Ethan Stiefel, the company’s talent was featured in three original works by talented choreographers Ja’ Malik, Caili Quan, and Claire Davison.

Ethan Stiefel is a household name. Considered one of the greatest American male ballet dancers of all time, it was Stiefel's explosive energy that lit up countless stages all over the world. But since his retirement from American Ballet Theatre in 2012, Stiefel has dedicated his artistic life to inspiring the next generation of dancers. As Dean of the School of Dance at UNCSA, to Artistic Director of the Royal New Zealand Ballet, Stiefel has helped shape the present—and future—of dance as we know it.

State Theatre New Jersey presents The Nutcracker with American Repertory Ballet for five performances on Friday, December 16 at 7:30pm; Saturday, December 17 at 2pm and 7pm; and Sunday, December 18 at 1pm and 5pm. These are the only American Repertory Ballet performances featuring a live orchestra and choir.

Segerstrom Center for the Arts announces the return of SoCal's favorite holiday tradition - American Ballet Theatre's captivating production of The Nutcracker.  Co-presented by the Center and ABT with choreography by ABT Artist in Residence Alexei Ratmansky, The Nutcracker is the beloved holiday story based on The Nutcracker and the King of Mice written by E.T.A. Hoffmann and set to a magical score by Peter Ilyitch Tchaikovsky that will be performed live by Pacific Symphony.

American Repertory Ballet's magical production of The Nutcracker returns to three Central New Jersey performing arts venues this holiday season. The curtain lifts at McCarter Theatre Center in Princeton, November 25-27; performances continue at the Patriots Theater at the War Memorial in Trenton on December 11; and the grand finale will be at State Theatre New Jersey in New Brunswick, December 16-18.

The Washington Ballet has announced that Artistic Director Julie Kent will conclude her tenure with the Company at the end of the 2022–2023 season. Ms. Kent has accepted a new leadership role as Co-Artistic Director of Houston Ballet, effective July 2023.

American Repertory Ballet will be featured in Lighter Than Air: a photographic series by renowned photographer Harald Schrader on September 17-18, 2022 in Princeton, New Jersey. This exhibit will feature images of American Repertory Ballet company members and artistic leadership, including Artistic Director Ethan Stiefel and Artistic Associate Gillian Murphy.
