LOVEVILLE HIGH: A PROM IN NINE MUSICAL PODCASTS will be celebrating the release of the entire season with a 'Loveville Prom - In Concert' on June 17, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at the York Theatre Company (619 Lexington Ave, New York, NY 10022). The podcast originally launched on January 7, 2019 and is downloadable on iTunes, Spotify, and all music sharing sites.

The York Theatre Company, dedicated to the development of new musicals and rediscovery of musical gems from the past, presented the 2019 installment of the celebrated concert series NEO, featuring works by new/emerging/outstanding musical theatre writersAmanda D'Archangelis & Sami Horneff, Julian Hornik, Janine McGuire & Arri Lawton Simon, and Madeline Myers. In addition to these six writers, this year's NEO of the Future program showcased two songs by writers who are currently undergraduate students: Sarah Kaufman, a senior at CAP21/Molloy College, and Caleb Smith, a junior at Penn State.

Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Drama Department presents A ROCKIN' Midsummer Night's Dream - a regional premiere adaptation of Shakespeare's play in a new musical version adapted by Michael Unger and Eric Svejcar with a score by Mr. Svejcar. Orchestrations are by Broadway's Kim Scharnberg. Performances are set for March 7th, 8th, & 9th, 2019 beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School (5901 Pine Island Drive, Parkland, FL). On Monday, January 28th LOVEVILLE HIGH: A PROM IN NINE MUSICAL PODCASTS premieres Episode 4 starring two sensational artists who will be on Broadway this spring, Be More Chill's Troy Iwata and Oklahoma's Ali Stroker, downloadable on iTunes, Stitcher, and all music sharing sites. The first three episodes have almost 2000 downloads in just three weeks since launch.

The Evolution of Mann celebrated its opening night last Thursday October 4th at the cell (338 West 23rd Street).  The show began performances on September 25 and will continue performances through October 27.

Nancy Manocherian's the cell (Artistic Director, Kira Simring), who produced last season's critically acclaimed World Premiere musical Bastard Jones, presents the New York Premiere of THE EVOLUTION OF MANN, a musical featuring music & lyrics by Drama Desk nominee Douglas J. Cohen (Children's Letters to God, The Opposite of Sex) and book & lyrics by Dan Elish (13: The Musical) based on his novel, Nine Wives.  Directed by Joe Barros (Bastard Jones), the production stars Max Crumm (Grease, Disaster!) in the title role, with Allie Trimm (13: The Musical and Bye Bye Birdie on Broadway) and Leslie Hiatt. Now in previews, opening is slated for Today, October 4.

The cast of the Berkshire Theatre Group production of Hair  welcomed original Broadway cast member Allan F. Nicholls to a recent performance at the Unicorn Theatre, The Larry Vaber Stage at BTG's Stockbridge Campus at 6 East Street.   Hair has book and lyrics by Gerome Ragni & James Rado, music by Galt McDermot, and was produced for the Broadway stage by Michael Butler and originally produced by the New York Shakespeare Festival Theatre. 

Broadway is currently celebrating the 50th year of Hello Dolly and the Folksbiene is mounting Fiddler On The Roof (in Yiddish) for its same Golden Anniversary. The Berkshire Theatre Group has an exciting production of HAIR also celebrating its Broadway Opening in 1968 on it's Unicorn Stage. BroadwayWorld was there for the opening night curtain call.
