MY JOY IS HEAVY Full Creative Team Announced for New York Theatre Workshop World Premiere

New York Theatre Workshop has announced dates and ticket information for the world premiere of My Joy is Heavy, created and performed by Obie Award-winning duo & NYTW Usual Suspects The Bengsons (Hundred Days, The Keep Going Songs), directed by Tony Award winner and NYTW Usual Suspect Rachel Chavkin (Hadestown; Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812).

The Huntington is now presenting Sardines (a comedy about death), written and performed by actor-comedian Chris Grace (TV’s Superstore, Dropout’s Chris Grace As Scarlett Johansson) and directed by Eric Michaud. Sardines (a comedy about death) runs through Sunday, November 16, 2025 at the Maso Studio at the Huntington Theatre. Check out photos here!

New musical Teaching a Robot to Love was awarded seven wins in the BroadwayWorld awards for the Los Angeles region this month. The awards honor the best in regional productions, touring shows, and more which had their first performance between October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2022. Teaching a Robot to Love will make its Australian debut this February at the Adelaide Fringe.

TEACHING A ROBOT TO LOVE To Present World Premiere At The BROADWATER In Los Angeles

Queer comedy musical TEACHING A ROBOT TO LOVE will make its stage debut this summer in Hollywood, under the direction of Ashley Ward. The musical follows a group of friends in a summer internship program who create a sentient ad-sales algorithm and learn to prioritize friendship over 'getting ahead' in the workplace, in an allegory for trans parenting and LGBTQIA+ friendship underscored with joy, cheese, and mad science.
