The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts announced today that the uproarious, irreverent, Tony Award®-winning Best Musical, Monty Python's Spamalot is the latest star-studded Broadway Center Stage production, running May 12-21, 2023 in the Eisenhower Theater.

If you are a fan of the 1975 film “Monty Python and the Holy Grail, then you are going to love the irreverent humor of “Monty Python’s Spamalot.” “Spamalot” won 3 Tony Awards in 2005 including Best Musical, Best Director, and Best Featured Actress in a Musical. The Belmont Theater is presenting “Spamalot” for one more weekend under the direction of Rene Staub.

The Shakespeare Center LA and After Hours Theatre Company announce the premiere of The Tempest: An Immersive Experience, a fully reimagined immersive performance based on William Shakespeare's The Tempest.  The director is Ben Donenberg, Shakespeare Center LA Artistic Director; Graham Wetterhahn is the Producing Artistic Director at After Hours Theatre Company.

The Firehouse Theatre has announced the cast and creative team of their upcoming production of Monty Python's SPAMALOT. Inspired by the 1975 film “Monty Python and the Holy Grail”, this Tony Award-winning musical follows the legendary King Arthur and his band of misfit knights as they journey throughout England on a quest to seek the Holy Grail.

The MAC PLAYERS at the Middletown Arts Center will hold auditions for its production of the musical comedy Seussical on Wednesday, December 14 from 5-9 p.m. Seussical takes us into the world of Dr. Seuss, where we revisit beloved characters including The Cat in the Hat, Horton the Elephant, Gertrude McFuzz, Lazy Mayzie and JoJo. 

The Fairleigh Dickinson University Theater Department presents Seussical at the Dreyfuss Theater at the Florham Campus. 

Just as the 2022 season comes to a close, work for the 2023 season is getting underway at the Stratford Festival. Creative teams for next year's productions are coming into place and the casting department is busy confirming key roles for the season. Soon the workshops will be abuzz with artisans building the season's sets, props and costumes.

Eddie Izzard will return to the New York stage this December for six weeks only playing 21 characters in Charles Dickens’ Great Expectations, a classic tale of convicts, mystery, friendship, rivalry, unrequited love, revenge, and redemption for six weeks only at The Greenwich House Theater.

The legendary Prue Leith announced New York and Los Angeles work-in-progress performances of her first live show, Nothing In Moderation, October 24 & 25 at the Daryl Roth Theatre in NYC and November 2 & 3 at the Kirk Douglas Theatre in Culver City.

Join Blackfriars Theater for its flashy, laugh-out-loud season opener, Spamalot, opening September 9th. Written by Monty Python alum, Eric Idle, with music by John DuPrez, the plot for this fan favorite is lovingly borrowed from the classic film comedy, Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
