Leg Up On Life's six NIGHT OF LIFE Benefiting The Trevor Project is taking to the HK Hall stage! This one-night-only arts performance party, happening Monday, August 22 begins at 7:30PM. The Flynn has announced a new series for young kids in the community: FlynnZone Kids Hour, free monthly performances for kids ages 3 to 5. Each month, the Flynn invites a different local artist or group to the theater to play a variety of fun and interactive shows in a safe and welcoming environment.

This July the Barn Players bring playwright Arthur Miller's Tony Award winning drama "The Crucible" to their stage. The setting: Salem, Massachusetts, 1692. When married farmer John Proctor breaks off an affair, his young scorned mistress leads her girlfriends in a pagan ritual against Proctor's wife. When the rite is discovered, accusations fly. Proctor's innocent wife is brought to trial and John must now attempt to defend her and avoid being accused of sorcery himself. What terrifying outcome might await them if he fails her? This unforgettable drama of gripping American history also serves as a timely reflection upon our own contemporary society.

Those of us raised in a home where we knew dating a person of another race would never be accepted will certainly identify with the premise of EMMITT AND AVA, a modern tale of love and loss written and directed by two-time Ovation winner Dominic Hoffman as a Co-Production with Edgemar Center for the Arts in Santa Monica. The play's Los Angeles Premiere, presented by Delta Highway Productions, features Tucker Smallwood, Tom Schanley, Stephanie Schulz, and Harry Fowler as members of two families, unacquainted with one another, who suddenly find themselves forced to communicate on most intimate terms after their two children die together in a tragic car accident.

Inspired by the Oscar winning DreamWorks movie, the stage version has book and lyrics by David Lindsay-Abaire and music by Jeanine Tesori, for a show that brings everyone's favorite Ogre to new and hilarious life on the stage.
