LaMaMa will present the US premiere of Pitecus by Rezza-Mastrella (Flavia Mastrella and Antonio Rezza), resident artists of Italy's renowned experimental theatre Teatro Vascello for a limited engagement from tonight, October 13, through October 16, 2016.

La MaMa presents the world premiere of Phantasmagoria; or, Let Us Seek Death!, conceived and directed by Obie Award winner Randolph Curtis Rand, written by Chana Porter and puppetry by Benjamin Stuber. Phantasmagoria; or, Let Us Seek Death!, an Eric Borlaug production, runs as part of the 2016 La MaMa Puppet Series from October 20 - November 6 at the Ellen Stewart Theatre, located at 66 East 4th Street between 2nd Avenue and the Bowery in New York City. La MaMa in association with Split Britches presents Unexploded Ordnance UXO, a new project inspired by the unexploded Civil War ammunition buried on Governor's Island in New York Harbor and the iconic Stanley Kubrick film, Dr. Strangelove.

La MaMa will celebrate its 55th season with a singular Gala Event like no other on Thursday, November 10 at La MaMa Annex (66 E.4 St.) when the Grammy-winning, co-author of the Tony-winning musical THE COLOR PURPLE and legendary party-hostess Allee Willis throws one of her renowned bashes, created especially as a benefit for La MaMa: BADEYA BABY! or HOW I LEARNED TO LOVE THE THEATRE.

La MaMa begins its 55th season of innovative works from around the world - 70 productions in all - with its 2016 Puppet Series featuring a variety of fully-staged productions, a puppet slam, a workshop for kids and conversations with leading artists in the realm of puppetry from September 24 to November 6, occupying La MaMa's numerous stages in the East Village.

La MaMa, in association with the 2016 Queer New York International Arts Festival, will present the U.S. premiere of Denuded by Croatian choreographer Bruno Isakovic.

THE BARDY BUNCH: The War of the Families Partridge and Brady, the musical parody by Stephen Garvey that gained cult status during its Off-Broadway run in 2014, runs in a limited engagement in Chicago, September 16 through November 20, at the Mercury Theater, 3745 N. Southport Avenue. The show's all-star cast will portray the Brady and Partridge families, just after the ABC Network ceased airing their chronicles in 1974, in a blood-soaked, vengeance-fueled, lust-filled crossover episode of Shakespearean proportions. The Tony-nominated director Eleanor Reissa is set to helm New Yiddish Rep's contemporary staging of Sholem Asch's notorious drama 'God of Vengeance' at La MaMa this winter. The Yiddish language production's Off-Broadway opening is on Christmas Day, Sunday December 25 at 7:30pm with previews beginning Thursday December 22.  It will run for five weeks and 33 performances through Sunday January 22.

Southport Avenue. The show's all-star cast will portray the Brady and Partridge families, just after the ABC Network ceased airing their chronicles in 1974, in a blood-soaked, vengeance-fueled, lust-filled crossover episode of Shakespearean proportions.

Next year will mark 50 years that Israel Horovitz's stunning surreal play, LINE, will have been performing in NYC. Beginning its life at Ellen Stewart's LaMaMa, ETC in 1967, the play moved to the 13th Street Repertory Theater in 1974 and has remained there ever since.
