THE DRAGON GRISWYND, a new play by Carrie Robbins - the playwright and Tony-nominated costume designer - will be presented at Theatre for the New City (155 First Ave.) in the East Village this summer, with performances scheduled September 6-16 as part of TNC's Dream Up Festival.

La MaMa, the newly-minted recipient of the 2018 Regional Theatre Tony Award, now in its 57th season, will be featured on this week's THEATER TALK, as producer/co-host Susan Haskins-Doloff pays a visit to the La MaMa Archive.

KINK HAÜS, an experimental work created by and starring performance artist Gunnar Montana with an ensemble cast of six, will open at La MaMa, the 2018 Tony Award winning theatre in association with Howl! Arts Inc. Previews begin September 20. 

Hailed for its 'compelling and innovative programming (WQXR Radio)," dell'Arte Opera Ensemble today announced its 2018 summer festival dedicated to works by Mozart and Salieri. Starting on August 11, 2018, and running until August 26, the festival features 13 performances of two fully-staged operas, a scenes program, and an intimate recital to be presented in the intimate black-box space of La MaMa Theatre. Currently in its 16th season, dell'Arte has filled the summer lull with fresh productions of well-known classics and rarities, performed by the developmental company's cast of young singers, supported by a fine musical ensemble.

LA MAMA announces its Puppet Festival, (November 1 - 25, 2018), featuring the New York and World premiere of works by artists from around the world including Germany, Brazil, Australia, Japan, Colombia, China, Belgium, and the USA taking place at La MaMa's Ellen Stewart Theatre and The Downstairs (66 E. 4 St.), in the East Village throughout the month of November.

On the heels of having won the 2018 Regional Theater Tony Award, LA MAMA Experimental Theatre Club (ETC) announces its 57th season of productions, according to Mia Yoo, the company's artistic director. The season includes over 50 U.S., NYC and world premiere productions.

BROOKLYN UNITED LIVE is co-directed by Tyrone Brown, Renita Leonce, and Dan Safer and choreographed by Dara Adams.

Pan Asian Repertory Theatre (Tisa Chang, Founding Artistic Producing Director), continuing its 41st milestone season on themes of social justice and historic amnesia, presents the new staged reading series NUWORKS 2018, a unique range of short new plays that vary from modern to ethnic dance, comedy to puppets, to family-sturm und drang.   Performances begin Tuesday, June 12, 2018 for a limited engagement through Sunday, June 17, 2018 at The Studio Theatre at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street).

Adham Hafez, Egyptian creator, performer, academic and the founder of Adham Hafez Company and HaRaKa Platform, is no stranger to delving deep into controversial topics and forcing his audiences to examine everything they think they know about particular cultures, beliefs, and histories. Hafez is a bold, highly-intelligent provocateur, deliberately messing with the minds of those who experience his work. His world premiere of 'To Catch A Terrorist' debuts at the La MaMa Moves Festival May 12-13.

This summer, JAW: A Playwrights Festival celebrates its 20th anniversary by doing what it does best: selecting some of the most exciting new plays of our time and providing complete support to the playwrights to develop those scripts in whatever area is most beneficial to them. Two weeks of script workshopping will culminate in the JAW Big Weekend, July 27-29, where public staged readings of the scripts will be presented along with performances from local artists and classes. Plenty of champagne and birthday cake will also be enjoyed, to celebrate all that JAW has accomplished since its brave and ambitious beginnings in 1999.

Today Artistic Director Jonathan Silverstein of the Drama Desk and Obie Award-winning Keen Company announced the Twelfth Season of Keen Teens. This season's offerings will be Winifred & Myrtle Go to High School by Leah Nanako Wrinkler, directed by Michael Goldfried; Around 2 by James Anthony Tyler, directed by Estefania Fadul; and The Caribbean Queen with book & lyrics by Jamie Cowperthwait, music & lyrics by Salomon Lerner, directed and choreographed by Ilana Ransom Toeplitz with musical direction by Salomon Lerner. An-Lin Dauber will provide scenic design, with costume design by Karen Boyer, lighting design by Kate August and sound design by Karl Berntson.
