KINK HAÜS By Gunnar Montana Extended At Tony Award-Winning LA MAMA

LA MAMA, the 2018 Tony Award winning theater in NYC, in association with Howl Arts Inc., announce performance extension of KINK HAÜS. Created by and starring Philadelphia fringe performance artist, Gunnar Montana, in his New York City stage debut. KINK HAÜS, having previously been scheduled through October 6th, will now play through October 14th.

With a heady mix of music, dance, visual arts, lights, sounds and a maverick attitude, KINK HAÜS evokes the past, present and future of alternative performance art. KINK HAÜS depicts the raw, dark and sometimes outlandish sexual journey people travel, in search of identity and freedom. Set in an underground nightclub, the young multi-faceted performance artist and cast examine the impulses that excite us when fantasy, fetish, and carnal desire are at play.

Mr. Montana is joined on stage by actors: Avi Bourochoff, CJ Coleman, Jessica Daley, Dylan Kepp, Frank Leone and Stephanie Lyneice. Set and lighting design is by Oona Curley.

KINK HAÜS is the 7th work created by Mr. Montana, all of which have been performed in various performance venues in Philadelphia including at FringeArts Festival and Think Fest.

Gunnar Montana is a Montana-born, Philadelphia-based choreographer and performance artist whose work has appeared in numerous festivals including Philadelphia FringeArts Festival and ThinkFest. He was recently a featured guest at the annual Philadelphia Trans Wellness Conference, the largest gathering of transgender individuals in northeast U.S.

Performances of KINK HAÜS began September 20th, with shows Thursday through Sunday at 8:00 p.m., including a 10 p.m. performance on Fridays. The final performance is Sunday, October 14, 2018.

Gunnar Montana Productions, a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to delivering cutting edge and avant-garde performing and visual arts, developed KINK HAÜS. As part of its mission, each night GMP makes a small portion of its ticket inventory available free of charge to LGBTQ young people and seniors.

HOWL ARTS is a nonprofit dedicated to preserving the past and celebrating the contemporary culture of the East Village of the Lower East Side. HOWL ARTS creates opportunities for artists to produce and show their work, and engages in activities aimed at improving the quality of life for artists and members of the creative community.
