Playwright and comedian Lisa Lampanelli and producer Rachel Karpf announced today that STUFFED will play its final performance Off-Broadway on Sunday, November 19th at the Westside Theatre (Downstairs, 407 West 43rd Street).

Comedian Lisa Lampanelli and producer Rachel Karpf announced today that understudy Lauren Ann Brickman will star as Marty in Lampanelli's new play, STUFFED.

Nikki Blonsky will depart the cast of Stuffed at the Westside Theatre. Due to an illness during a crucial stretch leading up to previews, Blonsky was not able to get sufficient rehearsal time and, as a result, she and the show's creative team have mutually decided to part ways.

The Guthrie Theater has announced casting for the theater's summer musical, Sunday in the Park with George. Merrimack Repertory Theatre (MRT) continues its 2016-17 Season with "Chill," the new bittersweet drama about all life throws you between 18 and 28. The play follows four Massachusetts teens across a decade of change in America, and is inspired by the real-life experiences of playwright (and Brookline native) Eleanor Burgess. Megan Sandberg-Zakian directs.

The Alliance/Kendeda National Graduate Playwriting Competition continues to spotlight the best emerging playwrights with a full production for the competition winner and staged readings for four competition finalists.  Too Heavy for your Pocket, the 13th competition winner, will have its world premiere on the Hertz Stage February 4 - 26, 2017.  Opening night is Thursday, February 9, 2017.
