Liberty Stand-Up Comedy keeps the laughs coming this winter with the addition of two more shows to make a series of 3 stand-up nights Spruce Peak Arts. Join us for the additional shows: Saturday, January 28th at 7PM featuring Andy Pitz and Liz Miele, and Saturday, February, 25th at 7PM featuring Tom Ryan, and Wali Collins. Both shows will also feature MC Shaun Eli.

Mountainfilm on Tour brings a selection of culturally rich, adventure-packed and incredibly inspiring documentary films curated from the Mountainfilm festival in Telluride, Colorado. The tour will visit Stowe at Spruce Peak Arts on Saturday, Jan. 14th, 2023 at 7PM, with films that explore themes connected to Mountainfilm's mission of using the power of film, art and ideas to inspire audiences to create a better world.

Glenn Gould, the iconic Canadian classical pianist, writer, composer, conductor and broadcaster, would have celebrated his 90th birthday on Sunday, September 25th, 2022. To commemorate this milestone anniversary, The Glenn Gould Foundation has programmed GlennGould@90, a series of free events starting September 17th honouring Canada's futuristic musical maverick.

What did our critic think? Denis Jones (Director/Choreographer) and Barry Busby (Associate Choreographer) have assembled a splendid cast plus an ensemble of highly skilled dance professionals to pack the expansive Muny stage. Their choreography pays tribute to Fosse’s sexy and subtle work but morph it into grand movements that play to the back of this massive 11,000-seat house. Their choreography on “We Both Reached for the Gun” is an electrifying delight.

Producers Naoya Kinoshita, Kumiko Yoshii, and Michael Wolk have shared a first look at The Karate Kid – The Musical ahead of its pre-Broadway, world premier engagement with STAGES St. Louis at the Ross Family Theatre at the Kirkwood Performing Arts Center which begins previews Wednesday, May 25 with an opening night on Wednesday, June 1.

The Muny announced today that season tickets for its 2022 summer season will be available beginning at 9am Monday, March 21. Tickets can be purchased online at muny.org, by phone at (314) 361-1900, or in person at The Muny Box Office, open 9am-5pm, Monday through Friday. The Muny continues to be St. Louis’ destination for summer musicals, celebrating 104 seasons in Forest Park this summer.

BWW Review: THE SOUND OF MUSIC at The Muny

Tonight, the classic musical, The Sound of Music, opened as the second offering of The Muny’s 103rd season. According to the show’s director, Matt Kunkel, The Sound of Music, is a show about love of God, family, and country. Kunkel is helming his first full scale production after serving as a Muny directing intern during college. In a previous interview, he told Broadway World that this production would strive to give people what they remember from the movie while staying true to the original theatrical source material. To connect to the movie, this production included the songs ‘Something Good’ and ‘I Have Confidence’ that were written for the film.
