On December 5th, 2011, The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences launched The International Emmy Kids Awards, a new competition and stand-alone ceremony, solely dedicated to recognizing excellence in children's television programming produced and initially aired outside of the United States. The inaugural awards ceremony took place tonight, February 8, 2013 at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers, Pier 61, in New York.

Charismatic actor and comedian, Cedric "The Entertainer," best known for performances in such hit films as "Barbershop," "Be Cool," "Madagascar" and "Intolerable Cruelty," among countless others, will be visiting the MGM Grand Theater at Foxwoods for one night only when he performs his gut busting routine on Friday, May 10 at 9 p.m. Tickets are currently available and can be purchased in advance for $35, $50 and $65.

Praised by audiences and critics alike for his work in television, film and standup, as well as his extensive charity work with various foundations, funnyman George Lopez will visit the MGM Grand Theater at Foxwoods for one night only as part of his "It's Not Me, It's You" tour. Tickets for the highly-anticipated show on Friday, May 17 at 9 p.m. will be available for presale through Comix and Ticketmaster on Thursday, Feb. 7 at 10 a.m., and regular tickets will go on sale Friday, Feb. 8 at 10 a.m. Fans can purchase tickets in advance for $40, $50 and $65.

The Eli and Edythe Broad Stage at the Santa Monica College Performing Arts Center presents the one-woman comedy Ruby Wax: Out Of Her Mind, starring the brash and honest UK based comic Ruby Wax. Presented by The Broad Stage, Ruby Wax: Out Of Her Mind opens on January 23rd and runs through February 3rd.

NBC has just debuted a very first look at their upcoming series HANNIBAL, featuring one of the most fascinating literary characters: psychiatrist-turned-serial killer, Dr. Hannibal Lecter. Bryan Fuller's dead-before-it-arrived MUNSTERS reboot, MOCKINGBIRD LANE, has officially been abandoned by NBC for good. Fuller took to his Twitter this afternoon to announce the news:

Gillian Anderson, who played Dr. Dana Scully on THE X-FILES, has officially signed on for a recurring role on NBC's upcoming midseason drama HANNIBAL. Entertainment Weekly first broke the news this evening.

The ceremony was hosted by Barney Harwood at the London Hilton on Park Lane, and presenters included Eddie Izzard, Alesha Dixon, Sir David Jason, Tom and Dougie from McFly, Olympic gold medallists Heather Stanning and Alex Gregory, Tyger Drew Honey, Caitlin Moran, X Factor's Kye Sones and Jade Ellis, Jedward and American film director John Landis.

EW reports that Eddie Izzard will have a guest starring role on NBC's upcoming drama series HANNIBAL. The series is set to debut in 2013. According to the report, the actor will portray 'a cellmate of Hannibal Lecter.' Mads Mikkelsen, Hugh Dancy and Laurence Fishburne also star on the drama.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, NBC's aborted remake of the 1960's TV classic THE MUNSTERS, featuring Broadway's Jerry O'Connell and Cheyenne Jackson, will now air as a Halloween special on the network.

It was announced today, 2 October 2012, that The National Theatre's award-winning production of WAR HORSE begins a ten month, nine-venue tour of the UK and Ireland in the autumn of 2013. After being in the works at the NBC network for several seasons, Deadline reports that Bryan Fuller's 'Munsters' reboot will most likely not go to series. The project, to be titled MOCKINGBIRD LANE was to be a reworked version of the 1960's classic comedy 'The Munsters.'
