Charismatic actor and comedian, Cedric "The Entertainer," best known for performances in such hit films as "Barbershop," "Be Cool," "Madagascar" and "Intolerable Cruelty," among countless others, will be visiting the MGM Grand Theater at Foxwoods for one night only when he performs his gut busting routine on Friday, May 10 at 9 p.m. Tickets are currently available and can be purchased in advance for $35, $50 and $65.

Cedric currently stars in and produces the hit comedy series, "The Soul Man" (a spin-off of "Hot in Cleveland") portraying the quirky Reverend Boyce 'The Voice' Ballentine, a former R&B music superstar turned minister. The new season launches this June, airing Wednesdays at 10 p.m. on TV Land.

Cedric also starred in and produced the 2004 box office hit, "Johnson Family Vacation," and counts "A Haunted House," "Larry Crowne" and "Cadillac Records," among his many additional big screen feature credits. He displayed his tremendous vocal talent in the family features, "Madagascar 2," "Charlotte's Web," "Dr. Dolittle 2" and "Ice Age," and appeared in MTV's documentary feature, "The Original Kings of Comedy," directed by Spike Lee.

In July 2006, his first-ever HBO Comedy Special, "Cedric the Entertainer: Taking You Higher," was the network's highest rated special that year, and in November 2008, he made his Broadway debut in "American Buffalo," for which he was singled out for critical praise. Now developing and producing future films with his own Production Company, "A Bird And A Bear Entertainment," he also tried his hand at directing, making his directorial debut in 2009.

As a philanthropist, he founded The Cedric 'The Entertainer' Charitable Foundation, which provides scholarships and outreach programs to enhance the lives of inner-city youth and their families in his hometown of St. Louis, MO, with plans to extend to a national level. Cedric's universal appeal, versatility and tremendous career successes, spanning television, live performances and film, have solidified his standing as one of the premier entertainers in the world.
