By:

Praised by audiences and critics alike for his work in television, film and standup, as well as his extensive charity work with various foundations, funnyman George Lopez will visit the MGM Grand Theater at Foxwoods for one night only as part of his "It's Not Me, It's You" tour. Tickets for the highly-anticipated show on Friday, May 17 at 9 p.m. will be available for presale through Comix and Ticketmaster on Thursday, Feb. 7 at 10 a.m., and regular tickets will go on sale Friday, Feb. 8 at 10 a.m. Fans can purchase tickets in advance for $40, $50 and $65.

The multitalented Lopez co-created, wrote, produced and starred in the groundbreaking hit sitcom, "George Lopez," which ran for six seasons on ABC, before he made his return to television with two seasons of his own TBS late-night talk show, "Lopez Tonight." No stranger to the big screen, he most recently lent his voice to animated hit, "Rio," and appeared in the 2010 hit, "Valentine's Day," and can next be heard voicing a character in The Weinstein Company's upcoming film "Escape From Planet Earth."

The Grammy-nominated star was named one of the "25 Most Influential Hispanics in America" by Time magazine, and one of the "Top Ten Favorite Television Personalities" by the Harris Poll, in addition to receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He was also the focus of the award-winning documentary, "Brown is the New Green: George Lopez and the American Dream."

Lopez received the Manny Mota Foundation Community Spirit Award and was named Honorary Mayor of Los Angeles for his extensive fundraising efforts benefiting earthquake victims in El Salvador and Guatemala. He additionally founded The Lopez Foundation to create positive, permanent change for underprivileged children and adults confronting challenges in education and health, as well as increasing community awareness about kidney disease, organ donation, and the military.
