Considered to be one of the most acclaimed comics of his generation, Eddie Izzard will perform at the MGM Grand Theater at Foxwoods on Friday, Feb. 15, 2013 at 9 p.m. Tickets for the highly-anticipated show are currently available for presale through Comix and Ticketmaster, and regular tickets will go on sale Friday, Dec. 14 at 10 a.m. Fans can purchase tickets in advance for $45, $55 and $65.

Izzard was last seen as Grandpa Munster in NBC's "Mockingbird Lane." In September, Izzard released his latest DVD, "Eddie Izzard: Live at Madison Square Garden," a recording of his brilliant sold out show. In 2011, Izzard lent his voice to Disney's animated feature "Cars 2."

Izzard further proved his unique versatility by hitting all entertainment mediums, including his stint on Broadway as part of David Mamet's "Race" and in the independent film, "Every Day." On the television front, he starred in and served as a producer on FX's critically acclaimed show "The Riches," and demonstrated his musical flair in the 2005 film "Romance and Cigarettes." He also became the first solo stand-up comedian to appear at the Hollywood Bowl in the celebrated "Eddie Izzard: Stripped to the Bowl." In 2010, "Believe: The Eddie Izzard Story," the original documentary which portrays his rise to fame as an internationally acclaimed stand-up comic and actor of stage and screen, received an Emmy nomination.

Izzard recently ran 1,100 miles through England, Wales, North Ireland and Scotland for charity and raised almost $2 million for Sports Relief, which helps the less fortunate in Britain and poor countries worldwide. His bizarre, tangential, absurd and surreal comic narratives, lauded for their creativity and wit, have him recognized as one of today's foremost stand-ups.
