The Tennessee Williams Theatre Company of New Orleans will be presenting Sweet Bird of Youth by Tennessee Williams this July & August at The Marigny Opera House, returning for its fifth production in the historic space. In this piece, Williams dove into the human impulse to fly when faced with adversity, the tolls of aging, and the challenges of remaining pure in a hostile world.

Celebrating its 37th anniversary, Outfest - the Los Angeles-based nonprofit organization promoting equality by creating, sharing, and protecting LGBTQ stories on the screen - today announced the complete programming lineup for the 2019 Outfest Los Angeles LGBTQ Film Festival, presented by HBO. The nation's leading LGBTQ festival will be held July 18-28, 2019.

Toronto LGBT Film Festival, Inside Out, Announces Lineup

The 29th annual Inside Out Toronto LGBT Film Festival (Inside Out), championing innovative LGBTQ filmmakers from across the globe, revealed its full feature and short film lineup. The announcement was made today by Inside Out's Executive Director Andria Wilson and the festival's Director of Programming Andrew Murphy. Inside Out, which launched the first ever annual LGBTQ Film Finance Forum, has established itself as an international home and incubator for LGBTQ emerging and established filmmakers. This year's festival will take place May 23 to June 2, 2019.

During its first two seasons, popular web series Old Dogs & New Tricks (a comedic look at gay men at middle-age) cast several high-profile men in special guest roles, including gay Olympian Greg Louganis, soap icon Ian Buchanan, Patrick Bristow (Ellen, Showgirls), Doug Spearman (Noah's Arc) and Thom Bierdz (Young & the Restless).

On Saturday, August 10th, 2013 Project Angel Food hosted its annual Angel Awards where the non-profit recognized the philanthropic accomplishments of award-winning actress Jane Lynch, star of FOX's GLEE and host of NBC's new hit "Hollywood Game Night," and Food network staple, celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis. With nearly 400 guests in attendance, it was a night to celebrate and many of Hollywood's brightest turned out to show their support for the evening's honorees and the organization which prepares and delivers over 12,000 nutritious meals every week to those with HIV/AIDS, cancer and other life threatening illnesses in Los Angeles County. While web-series crossovers are a common occurrence, Old Dogs & New Tricks - the award-winning web comedy about middle-aged gay friends in youth-obsessed West Hollywood currently in its second season - may have just accomplished a first. Two of its lead characters appear in the upcoming feature film Hot Guys with Guns, debuting this spring - perhaps the first time characters from a web series have appeared in an unrelated big-screen project.
