To immerse yourself in the Christmas spirit, Chiswick Playhouse is pleased to present a series of Christmas concerts featuring stars of the West End.

West End creatives and beloved celebrity favourites are rallying behind a fundraising initiative for the UK theatre community embattled by the COVID-19 epidemic to keep theatre alive Until the Curtains Rise.

Julie Atherton (The Grinning Man), Jason Denton (Spamilton), Dominic Hodson (Beautiful), Natalie Williams (Evita) and Charlotte Vaughan (Phantom of the Opera) will star in the world premier cabaret production of Estee Stimler (Book & Lyrics) and Yuval Havkin's (Music) hilarious and irreverent new musical Change of Heart.

Christmas at the Chiswick Playhouse comprises of three enchanting evenings of song featuring leading stars of the West End. The audience can expect a wonderful range of festive classics, combined with well-known songs from the shows and a singalong or two, presented by three exceptional casts. With a free glass of mulled wine at a cosy venue on a cold December night, the concerts promise to serve up a delightful way to embrace the holiday spirit.

Launching Chiswick Playhouse's inaugural season, from 30th October to 30th November, is the UK premiere of the revamped, brand-new version of I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change. After playing over 5,000 performances off-Broadway, this hilarious and poignant musical comedy was substantially re-written in 2018 to reflect the challenges facing the romantics of today. It is now presented for the first time in the UK with a stellar West End cast and direction from Charlotte Westenra (Kiss of the Spiderman, Donmar Warehouse; Frost/Nixon, Michael Grandage Company as Associate Director).

The Tabard Theatre has been rebranded as Chiswick Playhouse. If their opening production is anything to go by, it promises a highly exciting new chapter for this long standing West London venue.

In honour of the area's illustrious theatrical heritage, the Tabard Theatre is reopening as Chiswick Playhouse. They have announced their fantastic opening season and their West End cast for the UK premiere of a revamped version of I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change.

Last night (6 March 2019), Andrew Lloyd Webber's award-winning show School of Rock - The Musical celebrated its 1000th performance in the West End at the Gillian Lynne Theatre. The cast were joined in the celebrations by Julian Fellowes, who wrote the book for the show, director Laurence Connor and the show's choreographer JoAnn M. Hunter, as well as VIP guests.

Last night (6 March 2017) in front of a sell-out performance, Carole King surprised the cast and audience when she made her second visit to see the West End production of Beautiful - The Carole King Musical. 

Last night (9 February 2016) was Carole King's birthday and at the Aldwych Theatre the Olivier, Tony and Grammy award-winningBeautiful - The Carole King Musical celebrated its second birthday in the West End. 

Matthew Seadon-Young, Barbara Drennan and Joseph Prouse, recently joined the West End cast of Beautiful - The Carole King Musical to play Gerry Goffin (Carole King's husband and song-writing partner), Genie Klein (King's mother) and Donnie Kirshner (music publisher and producer). Cassidy Janson continues in the title role as well as Lorna Want as song-writer Cynthia Weil, a role for which she won the 2015 Olivier for Best Actress in a Supporting Role in a Musical, and Ian McIntosh as song-writer Barry Mann. Actresses Louise Dearman and Laura Pitt-Pulford have an impressive musical haul between them, with Louise the first actress to star as both Glinda and Elphaba in Wicked, as well as starring in Guys and Dolls and Kiss Me, Kate, while Laura's recent credits include Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Flowers for Mrs Harris and Oliver! They're now playing conjoined twins Daisy and Violet Hilton in the UK premiere of Side Show, by Dreamgirls composer Henry Krieger and Bill Russell, which opens at Southwark Playhouse next week.

Full casting is announced today for Broadway musical Side Show, which will receive its UK Premiere in a brand new production at Southwark Playhouse, opening on Wednesday 26 October with previews from Friday 21 October.

Stage Door Records are pleased to announce a 2 CD Deluxe Edition issue of the 'Maddie' Original London Cast Recording will be released on October 14th, 2016. The album features 5 previously unreleased 1991 recordings by John Barrowman alongside a host of top West End performers. The CD release celebrates the 20th Anniversary of 'Maddie' and continues Stage Door's commitment to preserve 'lost' British theatre scores of the past 50 years.

After eight record breaking years, the National Theatre has announced the final extension of its West End run of WAR HORSE, with a last performance at the New London Theatre scheduled for 12 March 2016.
