After celebrating a decade of beauty and innovation, Artistic Director and Resident Choreographer Julianna Rubio Slager today announceD the 2022-2023 season of Ballet 5:8, ambitiously launching the female and minority-led premiere ballet company into the next chapter.

The New York Premiere of the BroadwayWorld Award-winning A Black and White Cookie by Gary Morgenstein, directed by Marcello Rollando, will play The Tank Theater (312 West 36th Street New York, NY 10018), July 9-24.

Ronin Theatre company to present The Playboy of the Western World May 12-29 at the Irish Cultural Center.

The American Classical Orchestra (ACO) returns to the historic Harlem Parish, the stunning location of its highly-praised 2020 digital production of The Chaconne Project, for an intimate, creatively staged live performance of the program.

Nirankaar, which means “Formless God,” expresses how the divine often manifests in ways that can't easily be perceived or understood. The album is a collaboration with producer Ram Dass on piano and vocals, Grecco Buratto on guitar and vocals, and Sukhmani on tabla, percussion, and vocals. Francisco J. Núñez, MacArthur Fellow, Musical America's 2018 Educator of the Year, composer, conductor, leading figure in music education, and the artistic director/founder of the Young People's Chorus of New York City (YPC), will present the world premiere of his new work, MAP: A New World, at The Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine in New York City on Saturday, May 14 at 6:30 p.m.

Birdland presented singer/songwriter Amanda McBroom in “Crimes of the Heart” on Monday, May 2. Ms. McBroom is perhaps best known for her song, “The Rose,” which was famously recorded by Bette Midler for the film of the same name.  But until this concert, McBroom and Midler hadn’t met, even though the extraordinary composition helped change both careers.

The Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation’s 12th annual Broadway Belts for PFF! raised a record $475,000 in a new hybrid format on April 29. The sold-out gala at New York City’s Edison Ballroom, live streamed for the first time, is the single largest fundraiser in the Foundation’s history.

Percy Jackson has found his fellow heroes and we've got a guide to the cast. Aryan Simhadri (Disney's 'Spin') and Leah Sava Jeffries (“Empire”) will play Percy's friends Grover and Annabeth, respectively, in the upcoming Disney+ original series “Percy Jackson and the Olympians.” Simhadri and Jeffries will star alongside Walker Scobell who will play the titular character.
