Cece Teneal's ICONS celebrates 20 years of arts and entertainment of Central Florida's homegrown and internationally known blues-centric soprano, Cece Teneal. Featuring the Central Florida Community Arts (CFCArts) Symphony Orchestra and Community Choir, ICONS is a celebration to recognize ICONS who are pioneers for the preservation and advancement of performing arts in Central Florida.

Community Arts Music Association (CAMA) of Santa Barbara will open its 104th concert season with a highly anticipated performance by the venerable City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra together with British cello wunderkind Sheku Kanneh-Mason at the Granada Theatre on October 10.

​​​​​​​Seattle Center Festál will host the Live Aloha Hawaiian Cultural Festival Sunday, September 11, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Armory Food & Event Hall, Mural Amphitheatre and Fisher Pavilion Rooftop. The festival is family-oriented, free and open to the public. 

Registration is now open for Art Center Sarasota’s 2022-2023 adult education season, which runs October through April and features more than 100 classes, workshops, and open studio sessions.

Diversionary Theatre has announced its Clark Cabaret & Bar's September 2022 event calendar featuring free, queer-themed entertainment in an intimate space that includes a stage, a large patio, and a full bar in the heart of University Heights. 

Carnegie Hall celebrates the start of its 2022–2023 season with an Opening Night Gala concert on Thursday, September 29 at 7:00 p.m. featuring The Philadelphia Orchestra conducted by Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin. Acclaimed pianist Daniil Trifonov is the soloist for this special evening, performing Liszt's Piano Concerto No. 1. Also on the program is Ravel's La valse, Gabriela Lena Frank's “Chasqui” from Leyendas: An Andean Walkabout, and Dvořák's Symphony No. 8 rounding out the festive evening.

InterAct Theatre Company has been awarded a five-year, $652,500 grant award from the William Penn Foundation – the largest and longest (in duration of years) grant award in InterAct's 35-year history -- in support of our most ambitious project ever: The Philly Cycle.

The Mark Twain House & Museum has announced the Short List of titles for The 2022 Mark Twain American Voice in Literature Award! The Mark Twain American Voice in Literature Award honors an exemplary work of fiction from the previous calendar year that speaks with an “American Voice” about American experiences, much like Twain’s masterwork, Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. 

Comedy Works has announced that Billy D. Washington will perform at Comedy Works South at the Landmark.

On September 6th,  Art at a Time Like This will present its fall program, Excelsior,  short films and videos by Asian and Asian diaspora artists of diverse backgrounds,  curated by Job Piston.

Esperanza Arts Center (EAC) has announced its 2022-2023 season. This year EAC will present its annual VOCES Series spotlighting the artists and traditions of the Latin Caribbean, with a rich array of family and community events throughout the year.

Roy and Edna Disney/CalArts Theater (REDCAT), CalArts' downtown center for contemporary arts, closes out the 19th annual New Original Works (NOW) Festival, a celebration of Los Angeles' vibrant community of artists creating new performance work, over three weekends this summer. The final week of performances takes place from September 1-3.

OPERA America has selected three accomplished BIPOC professionals in opera as mentees in the 2022‒2023 Mentorship Program for Opera Leaders of Color. The Mentorship Program, now in its second year, advances racial equity in the field by pairing BIPOC administrators with established leaders in the field who can support them in achieving their career goals.

Production photos have been released for The Doncastrian Chalk Circle which takes place at Cast in Doncaster on 27 – 29th August 2022. Filled with passion, hope and humour, this new musical version of Brecht’s classic is adapted by Chris Bush, with music by Ruth Chan and directed by James Blakey.

Fanny Kerwich, an 8th generation French circus artist, director and producer, will bring an all-new cirque show to North Texas entitled Wild West Circus. The show will run at Frisco Fresh Market from October 28-October 31 and Dallas International School on November 4-5.

On Thursday night, Artistic Director Nicole Kelsch shared Ballet Theatre of Maryland's new logo at a gala celebrating their 44th anniversary season. The event, held at Prism Annapolis, also featured a silent auction, a raffle, and live performances from company artists.

Next month, in September, The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts celebrates its namesake with two projects: the opening of “Art and Ideals: President John F. Kennedy” – a new permanent exhibit exploring Kennedy’s presidency and commitment to the arts – and a reprise of Bernstein’s MASS.

SunDub, the Brooklyn-based five piece who expertly mixes classic reggae with elements of soul and blues, is back with a new single, “Jump and Dance.' This danceable, grooving tune, featuring guest vocals by Jamaican superstar Lutan Fyah, is a perfect introduction to SunDub’s lush sound and the next phase they are laying out with their new album.
