REBECCA, the musical about love and obsession reaching from beyond the grave, is back! Daphne Du Maurier's novel has been adapted several times successfully for stage and screen, like Alfred Hitchcock's Academy-Awarded Version or the late Netflix Adaption with Lily James and Armie Hammer. Silvester Levay (Music) and Michael Kunze (Book and Lyrics) brought up a Musical Version of Du Maurier's gothic thriller back in 2006.

Disney’s Frozen North American tour released new photos of Caroline Bowman (Elsa) and Lauren Nicole Chapman (Anna), in celebration of National Sisters Day on Sunday, August 7.

The national tour of the 2019 Drama Desk Award winner for Outstanding Musical “The Prom” will play at Center Theatre Group / Ahmanson Theatre from August 9 through September 11, 2022 and will open August 10, 2022.

The hit Broadway musical The Prom will make its regional theatre debut at White Plains Performing Arts Center as part of the theatre's 20th Anniversary Season. The musical features a book and lyrics by Chad Beguelin, music by Matthew Sklar, and a book by Bob Martin.

Dear Readers, as we enter Pride month, I can’t think of a more delightful way to celebrate than having the national tour of the gay romp “The Prom” come to us at the 5th Avenue Theatre.

After an extended break due to COVID, Bowman has returned to the magical story, which she says still challenges her daily as she continues discovering more about her character. BWW Atlanta caught up with the star to hear all about her take on the character, her unique tour experience with her husband, and more.

The National Tour of The Prom is here in Minneapolis this week from April 12th to April 17th at the Orpheum Theatre. The Prom won the 2019 Drama Desk Award Winner for Outstanding musical.

For Thursday evening’s performance of Frozen the Musical the crowd was buzzing, little girls and women of all ages appeared in Elsa and Anna dresses, and some were carrying Olafs by their side in anticipation of a magical trip to the fictional Arendelle. Like many of us immersed in pop culture and especially here in the Sunshine State where Disney makes Central Florida a primary vacation destination, the magic of Frozen has appeared in our lives in some form or fashion over the course of the last 8-9 years. Since its release in November of 2013, the Disney film Frozen has captivated audiences and families of all ages. From its hit musical numbers to the lovable characters Disney once again created something for everyone. In 2019 Disney released a sequel to the behemoth film and added yet another magical adventure to Arendelle with the release of Frozen 2. Led by an all-star cast of Broadway Legends from Idina Menzel and Jonathan Groff to film actress Kristen Bell, Frozen and Frozen 2 warmed even the coldest of hearts and the world of Disney animation has never been the same since, and for that, we are forever thankful.

Caroline Bowman approaches Elsa with a studied understanding of this show's central themes: the inner confusion of outward identity, the struggle between family ties and the daggers of life that threaten to slice them, and the feeling of danger inherent in any quest for self-acceptance - especially on the part of those marginalized by the masses. It's a story of coming (out?) into one's own. It is a love letter to the fairy tale form and the Disney classics of yore, but also a challenge to their conventions and ideals. Bowman's dynamic performance contains all that turmoil and triumph within it, the totality of it exploding in Act One's 'Let It Go' (reworked here for even greater musical might than the movie) and Act Two's brand-new 'Monster' (which has more oomph in the studio cast recording than on the tour stage, but it's still a powerful identity statement and an indisputable jam.)

It’s hard to think of a more fitting production than FROZEN, to make an extended stay at Orlando’s Dr. Phillips Center. As this Broadway hit musical makes its way to the City Beautiful for a run February 24th -  March 6th, I caught up with Caroline Innerbichler, who plays Princess Anna, to find out more about her career, bringing this Disney hit musical to Orlando, and what it’s like performing this show for live audiences all over the country once again.

The Prom a new musical with music by Matthew Sklar, lyrics by Chad Beguelin, and a book by Bob Martin and Chad Beguelin is based on an original concept by Jack Viertel. Directed and Choreographed by Casey Nicholaw, this explosive new musical took the stage by storm Tuesday night at the Straz Center, and with open arms, the audience welcomed this exceptional cast to the bay area. Boasting a primarily younger cast who danced and sang till everything was left on the stage, the audience was grooving in their seats and filled with joy all evening.

Disney’s staged version of FROZEN, set to arrive at the Saenger Theatre February 10-20, brings the world of Arrendale to life with jaw-dropping pageantry. One of the biggest (and smallest) reasons behind the magic goes to the two non-human roles of reindeer Sven and snowman Olaf, created through the designs of Michael Curry.

Disney's The Lion King, a groundbreaking musical and the third longest-running musical on Broadway, is in the middle of its nearly month-long reign at the Detroit Opera House, where it will stay until February 20th.
