Stephanie Blythe will perform in concert at The Glimmerglass Festival on Friday, August 5, at 4:30 p.m. The mezzo-soprano replaces Deborah Voigt, whose commitments have increased with her new position as a member of the full-time faculty at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.

American Dance Institute to Perform at The Kitchen This Summer

American Dance Institute (ADI), continuing to find new ways to support contemporary dance artists, will present performances in New York City for the first time this summer, offering five premieres over the course of five weeks at The Kitchen, June 2 - July 2. The third of ADI's New York premieres at The Kitchen will be celebrated choreographer Jane Comfort's You Are Here, June 16-18.

Opera News: Deborah Voigt to Join San Francisco Conservatory of Music, This Fall

Internationally revered operatic soprano Deborah Voigthas been appointed to the full-time voice faculty at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music (SFCM). Beginning in the fall of 2016, Voigt, known the world over for her "majestic voice" (WSJ), will bring to SFCM the benefit of singing experience that spans an extraordinary spectrum, from her renowned performances in the operas of Wagner, Strauss, and more, to her celebrated recital appearances and acclaimed presentations of Broadway standards and popular songs. Through private lessons and masterclasses with Voigt, select SFCM voice students will have the unique opportunity to gain insight and training from one of the world's most versatile singers and music's most endearing personalities.

MasterVoices to Open 75th Season with New York Premiere of 27 This Fall

MasterVoices (formerly The Collegiate Chorale)will open its 75th anniversary season with Ricky Ian Gordon's 27, with libretto by Royce Vavrek, starring Stephanie Blythe, Heidi Stober,Theo Lebow, Tobias Greenhalgh, and Daniel Brevik, conducted by Ted Sperling, and directed by James Robinson, with Orchestra of St. Luke's on October 20 and 21, 2016at New York City Center.

Well-Strung to Premiere New Show in New Orleans

 Producer Mark Cortale has announced the world premiere of "Party in the USA," a brand new show by the internationally acclaimed singing string quartet Well-Strung, and directed by New Orleans' own drag superstar, Jeffery Roberson (aka Varla Jean Merman).

American Symphony Orchestra Announces New Season

The American Symphony Orchestra and music director Leon Botstein return to Carnegie Hall for the ensemble's 55th season of concerts, the Vanguard Series, on October 19, 2016, and continue through May 12, 2017. Four programs of wide-ranging and distinct repertoire will explore notable topics, including an opera and an oratorio, in addition to orchestral works.
