The tune, by 30-year-old newcomer Deana Carter – a natural beauty inside and out – featured her soft, sensual voice in a song about expectations. It defied all odds to become a multi-week No.#1 hit on her debut album Did I Shave My Legs For This?, a funny question in a title and one of the album's songs that perfectly encapsulates the countryfied wit and nostalgic sensibilities of Carter. The debut album met a wild success as a multi-platinum international best seller and “Strawberry Wine” won a CMA “Single of the Year” award and a Grammy nomination for “Best Country Song.”

Three-time GRAMMY® Award-winning country superstar Trisha Yearwood dropped her new single “Every Girl In This Town” on June 6thand made a triumphant return to country radio. With 84 total adds, “Every Girl In This Town” marks Trisha's highest debut and biggest add day of her career. It is Billboard's Highest Female Debut of 2019 on the Country Airplay Chart, coming in at #21, and the #4 Highest Billboard Country Radio Debut in 2019. Today, Southern Halo delivers a summer escape with 'Sunshine,' a groove-oriented, electrified wave of sound that lifts the listener out of the winter doldrums with high-energy musicianship and dynamic sibling harmonies. Written by Love and Theft's Stephen B. Liles  and Eric Gunderson, along with Southern Halo's lead singer/songwriter Natalia Morris, the track was produced by Catt Gravitt.

The Country Music Association has revealed the initial artist lineup for this year's CMA Fest, which features hundreds of Country Music artists performing on multiple stages throughout downtown Nashville Thursday through Sunday, June 6-9. CMA Fest is a one-of-a-kind festival with artists donating their time to perform so a portion of ticket proceeds can directly benefit high-quality music programs across the country through the CMA Foundation. One of country music's quickest rising stars, Walker Hayes, is set to release the new video for his current single. Walker Hayes “90's Country” Music Video Premiere Event Presented by YouTube will be a live stream event available through YouTube Music on Thursday, October 11th at 6:30pm CT (7:30pm ET/4:30pm PT). This premiere marks the first time that Walker has partnered with YouTube on an event of this kind.

Eighteen-year-old Dallas Remington's new single, “Never Turned Around” revives a sentiment and emotion similar to the “summer love” hits “Strawberry Wine” (Deana Carter), “Maybe It Was Memphis” (Pam Tillis), and Remington's biggest influence, Garth Brooks' “What She's Doing Now.” Co-written alongside Regan Stewart, with production contributions by Kirk Willie and Kimo Forrest (Ohana Music), Dave Albro (Capricorn SoundWorks) and Kim Franca (Kim Franca Vocals), the track offers a sneak-peek to Remington's new EP (FREEDOM) anticipated mid-summer and is poised to become the 2018 “Song Of The Summer.”

Nashville's weekly sold out singer-songwriter round, Song Suffragettes, will host its 4th Anniversary Party onMonday, June 11 at 6:30 P.M. at Analog at Hutton Hotel in Nashville. The party will consist of two performance rounds by some of Nashville's best female singer-songwriters, and a special panel on the “State of Women in Country Music,” which will feature CMT's Leslie Fram, Red Light's Tracy Gershon and MTSU's Beverly Keel.
