Tavern on the Green owners Jim Caiola and David Salama announce the appointment of iconic chef Jeremiah Tower as executive chef of Tavern on the Green. This pairing brings together a classic American chef with a classic American restaurant.

This Saturday, June 21st Fran Drescher hosts her annual wellness brunch fundraiser for her organization Cancer Schmancer at Tavern on the Green at 11 am. Brunch is followed by a 2 pm performance of Cinderella, the Broadway production in which Drescher stars as the Wicked Stepmother.

The newly restored Tavern on the Green, located in Central Park just west of the Sheep Meadow near 67th Street, just celebrated its historic re-opening last night, May 12. The new Tavern on the Green, with executive chef Katy Sparks at the helm, serves Contemporary American cuisine with global influences offering a new take on a Park dining establishment serving all New Yorkers and visitors to Central Park. NYC Parks First Deputy Commissioner Liam Kavanagh, NYC Department of Design and Construction Commissioner Dr. Feniosky Peña-Mora, Manhattan Borough President Gale Brewer, State Senator Jose Serrano, Central Park Conservancy President Douglas Blonsky, restaurateurs Jim Caiola and David Salama, and executive chef Katy Sparks, today cut the ribbon on the newly restored Tavern on the Green.
