Open Door have unveiled the latest graduating actors selected to be part of Open Door Elevate, an initiative now in its fourth year, designed to help emerging talent from lower-income backgrounds as they enter the professional industry.

Award-winning charity Open Door today announces applications for their Acting and Behind the Scenes programmes are open, with auditions and interviews set to take place in September and October.

Acclaimed theatre company NOT TOO TAME (NTT) based in Warrington, are making a call out for stories for an online mini series called #LocalLegends. NTT will be asking people from across the North to contribute to this amazing project to support communities during the COVID-19 outbreak.

With recent roles in Noises Off and Exit the King, Amy Morgan can now be seen at the Royal Court performing in Gurpreet Kaur Bhatti's A Kind of People. Set during a party on a Friday night, this new play examines seven people and asks wider questions about communities in Britain today. BroadwayWorld spoke with Amy about her character, Victoria, the rehearsal process and how the play compares to her previous work in theatre.

Laura Hanna and David Mumeni have been cast alongside musician Kareem Samara and Sabrina Mahfouz in the world premiere of her new play A History of Water in the Middle East directed by Stef O'Driscoll. The North Wall today announce the full programme for Alchymy Festival 2019, running from 12-14 April at The North Wall Arts Centre. The programme includes performances, industry events, work-in-progress showings, and workshops, as well as performances from winners of the inaugural Alchymy Company Award and Alchymy Writing Residencies. The festival was programmed by The North Wall co-directors John Hoggarth and Ria Parry, and producer Ellie Keel, and is supported by Arts Council England.
