On the 50th anniversary of The Rocky Horror Show, Richard O’Brien has said he does not believe that the show would get made today.

Awards were presented last night to 34 outstanding actors, directors, designers, choreographers, musicians, and 5 visiting productions by the Boston Theater Critics Association (BTCA) at the 40th Anniversary Elliot Norton Awards ceremony, held at the Huntington Theatre in Boston.

What have I just witnessed? That was my overriding thought as I wandered out of the Theatre Royal Brighton, dumbstruck, baffled, fascinated and charmed by this extraordinary production of The Rocky Horror Show.

Long Wharf Theatre announced today additional details for fall programming at 222 Sargent Drive as part of Act 1 of its 2022-2023 season. Dignity, Always Dignity will be presented on September 10 and 11, while performances for Jelly’s Last Jam will take place on September 17 and 18.

It’s likely that South West London’s Richmond Theatre has never had to display a sign saying that toast and confetti will be confiscated at the front doors, but Rocky Horror Show often brings rather over-enthusiastic audience participation.

More than 60 nominations in over two dozen categories of outstanding actors, directors, designers, choreographers, musicians, and productions were announced today by the Boston Theater Critics Association (BTCA) for the 39th Elliot Norton Awards.

The first and only production of ONCE ON THIS ISLAND I saw was a concert production featuring an all-white cast. So, when I heard that Speakeasy Stage would be producing the show, I was excited to be able to see how it is meant to be performed. This production, directed by Pascale Florestral and music directed by David Freeman Coleman, did not disappoint.

American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University's concert production of WILD: A Musical Becoming began performances at the Loeb Drama Center in Harvard Square in Cambridge, Massachusetts on Sunday, December 5, 2021, and opened officially on Thursday, December 9. The production will run through January 2, 2022.
