Skydance Television today announced that it has partnered with The Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization and Concord to develop an original television series inspired by the hit Broadway musical Oklahoma! The present-day series written by John Lee Hancock (The Blind Side, The Highwaymen) and Bekah Brunstetter (This is Us, American Gods) will be set in America's heartland and include music by the legendary team of Rodgers & Hammerstein, reimagined for a contemporary audience, in addition to new music to support the story.

After another successful 'Mission Impossible' sequel premiered this summer ('Fallout'), Entertainment Weekly reports that Paramount Pictures has set specific dates for the next two sequels.

Skydance Media in partnership with ZAG today announced that it has secured the live-action feature film and television rights to the global animated phenomenon Miraculous® - Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir. Under the deal, Skydance plans to develop and produce the first-ever live-action adaptations based on the hit property with an anticipated release in 2020. The critically acclaimed, award-winning animated television series developed and produced by Jeremy Zag follows two heroes— Ladybug and Cat Noir—as they protect the city of Paris from super villains.

Top Gun: Maverick, the sequel to the hit Tom Cruise film, starring Cruise and Miles Teller has been pushed back nearly a year from July 12, 2019, to June 26, 2020, according to Variety.

Jon Hamm, Ed Harris and Lewis Pullman have been cast in Paramount Pictures' TOP GUN: MAVERICK, according to Variety. They will be joining Tom Cruise, Miles Teller, and Monica Barbaro, who was just cast as the first female pilot and Teller's love interest in the film.

Skydance Media and Netflix announced today that César Award winner Mélanie Laurent (Beginners, Inglorious Bastards) and Payman Maadi (The Night Of, A Separation, 13 Hours) are joining the previously announced ensemble cast to their upcoming original feature film 6 Underground directed by Michael Bay (Transformers) and starring Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool).

Netflix has ordered eight additional episodes of Altered Carbon from Skydance Television. The series is based on the classic science fiction novels by Richard K. Morgan.
