The nonprofit Sundance Institute announced today the showcase of new independent feature films selected across all categories for the 2020 Sundance Film Festival. The Festival hosts screenings in Park City, Salt Lake City and at Sundance Mountain Resort, from January 23a?"February 2, 2020. The Sundance Film Festival is Sundance Institute's flagship public program, widely regarded as the largest American independent film festival and attended by more than 120,000 people and 1,300 accredited press, and powered by more than 2,000 volunteers last year.
On the third anniversary of the fire that nearly destroyed the historic cinema, Sag Harbor Cinema and Bay Street Theater team up to usher in the Holidays and celebrate the unique and festive spirit that is the Village of Sag Harbor. Bay Street throws open its doors for hot cider, mulled wine, and a visit from Santa at 6 pm, followed at 7 pm by a free screening of Giuseppe Tornatore's Academy Award winning film Cinema Paradiso. At the conclusion of the screening, Hollywood screenwriter and local resident Bill Collage will discuss the film with SHC's Artistic Director Giulia D'Agnolo Vallan.

The Signature Theatre production of Octet, a world premiere chamber choir musical by three-time Tony Award nominee Dave Malloy (Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812)and directed by Annie Tippe (Ghost Quartet), opened just last night, May 19, in The Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues). Society for the Performing Arts (SPA) will present An Evening with Margaret Atwood hosted by Houston Public Media's Ernie Manouse on Friday, April 5 at 7:30 p.m. in Jones Hall for the Performing Arts. Atwood will speak on a wide range of issues relating to literature, social activism, political engagement, the creative process, the artist's role in society, technology and art, and, of course, her own accomplished body of work.
Sony Music proudly announces the release of SPIDER-MAN: INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) featuring original music by multiple Golden Globe nominee Daniel Pemberton. The soundtrack will be released digitally and on CD on December 17, 2018. Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Animations' Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse will debut in U.S. theaters on December 14.

The Tribeca Film Festival, presented by AT&T, has been the premier curator of cutting-edge interactive storytelling for more than a decade. The 2018 Tribeca Immersive program showcases works by artists who are pushing boundaries, using technology to tell stories and create new experiences. The Virtual Arcade lineup, presented by AT&T, includes 21 world premiere VR/AR exhibits as well as five Storyscapes experiences in competition.
