Disney Theatrical Productions and The CareFirst® BlueCross BlueShield Hippodrome Broadway Series announced today that tickets for the long-awaited engagement of Disney's Aladdin will go on sale to the public on Friday, August 16, at 10 a.m.

The Public Theater will soon present the Public Works' musical adaptation of HERCULES with music by Alan Menken, lyrics by David Zippel, book by Kristoffer Diaz, and directed by Lear deBessonet, running for seven nights for free, August 31-September 8 at The Delacorte Theater. Aladdin, the hit Broadway musical, welcomes Jacob Dickey to the title role on Tuesday, July 16 to Thursday, September 12 at the New Amsterdam Theatre.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) announced casting for the Public Works' musical adaptation of HERCULES with music by Alan Menken, lyrics by David Zippel, book by Kristoffer Diaz, and directed by Lear deBessonet, running for seven nights for free, August 31­September 8 at The Delacorte Theater. Based on the Disney film written by Ron Clements, John Musker, Donald McEnery, Bob Shaw, and Irene Mecchi and directed by Ron Clements and John Musker, HERCULES will feature over 200 New Yorkers from all five boroughs and features choreography by Chase Brock, as well as additional new songs by Menken and Zippel for this Public Works production in addition to six songs from the film's beloved Academy Award-nominated score.

Disney's Aladdin marked its anniversary this week having celebrated its official opening night three years ago on 15 June 2016. The spectacular West End musical has now welcomed more than two million audience members at the Prince Edward Theatre where tickets are on sale for performances up to and including Saturday 24 August 2019 - when it will conclude its magical run in London. Tickets for the long-awaited engagement of Disney's Aladdin are now on sale. The hit Broadway musical will begin performances at Sacramento Community Center Theater on Wednesday, May 15 for a limited engagement of 3 weeks, through Sunday, June 2.

As it approaches its 2nd anniversary, the North American tour of Disney's Aladdin has announced that five new principal cast members will join the company starting on April 25 in Salt Lake City, where the hit Broadway musical will play a limited three-week engagement at The Eccles Theatre through May 12.

To celebrate the 5th anniversary of Aladdin on Broadway, 5 current and former Genies stopped the show following today's matinee with a medley of Aladdin hits at the New Amsterdam Theatre. The 5 Genies were Tony Award winner James Monroe Iglehart, current star Michael James Scott, tour Genie Major Attaway, and current Broadway Genie standbys Juwan Crawley and Deonte L. Warren.

While this Casey Nicholaw-helmed big-budget extravaganza of dazzling sights and sounds is quite a faithful adaptation in terms of storyline and tone, the stage version abandons the impossible things it couldn't remotely replicate from the animated movie, but instead smartly utilizes the limitations of---and the unique qualities of---musical theater to produce a show that is, astonishingly, still an overall satisfying sensory treat. The show's national tour continues its three-week engagement at OC's Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa, CA through March 23, 2019.

Casting has been announced for the Portland engagement of Disney's Aladdin.  The hit Broadway musical will begin performances at Keller Auditorium on Wednesday, March 27 for a limited engagement through Sunday, April 7. The press opening night is Thursday, March 28 at 7:30 pm. 

Disney Theatrical Productions, Dallas Summer Musicals (DSM) and Broadway Across American (BAA) announced today that tickets for the long-awaited engagement of Disney's Aladdin will go on sale to the public on Friday, March 1  at 10 a.m. The hit Broadway musical will begin performances in Dallas at the Music Hall at Fair Park on Thursday, June 6 for a limited engagement of 3 weeks through Sunday, June 23. 

Disney Theatrical Productions and DPAC announced today that tickets for the long-awaited engagement of Disney's Aladdin will go on sale to the public on Thursday, March 7 at 10 am as part of SunTrust Broadway at DPAC's 2019/20 season. The hit Broadway musical will begin performances at DPAC on Wednesday, October 2 for a limited engagement of 4 weeks through Saturday, October 26. The opening night is Thursday, October 3 at 7:30 pm.
