The national tour of Frozen kicks off today, and it was just announced that it will be featuring a new song!

From the producers of The Lion King and Aladdin, Frozen, the Tony-nominated Best Musical, will launch a North American tour this fall, commencing in Schenectady, NY prior to an official opening at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles. Heralded by The New Yorker as 'thrilling' and 'genuinely moving,' Frozen has emerged as the biggest hit musical of the last two Broadway seasons, breaking four house records at its New York home, the legendary St. James Theatre. On October 8th, cast members from the national tour of Newsies will reunite on the stage of Feinstein's/54 Below to present the 3rd annual The Newsboys' Variety Show. Audiences can expect to be dazzled by a variety of musical styles, dancing, and other special talents on display.

The United Palace of Cultural Arts is currently in preparations for the third annual Danza Highbridge Festival at Highbridge Pool in Washington Heights. On Saturday September 22nd at 5pm, members of the community are invited to join over eighty dancers, choreographers, and musicians in a drained, olympic-size wading pool for an afternoon dance showcase and celebration. This year's festival is free to attend and will feature a variety of dance styles, including Jazz, Modern, Contemporary Indian, Bachata, Theatre Dance, and more. Following the performance, spectators are invited to the dance floor to join in a Fiesta Latina, lead by Ximena Salgado from the Dance Project of Washington Heights. Festival organizers suggest bringing a towel, blanket, or beach chair to sit on during the performance.

After Sold Out Performances in May, June, and July, Popular Summer Series 'SUMMERSTUCK: Songs From The Shows I Should Have Booked' closes the season this weekend! On October 2nd, exactly one year from closing, cast members from the national tour of Newsies will reunite on the stage of Feinstein's/54 Below to present the second annual The Newsboys' Variety Show.

The classic musical On The Town is probably the perfect theatrical offering - thanks to Bellport's Gateway Playhouse- during the 4th Of July festivities. Instead of an overture, the band plays the Star Spangled Banner and the story follows three sailors from the US Navy on a one day shore leave. We follow the sailors as they quickly meet three women who show them around New York City on their day off.
