Adapted from Joan Lindsay’s novel, with book and lyrics by Hilary Bell and music and arrangements by Greta Gertler Gold, the production is directed by Portia Krieger and is playing a strictly limited engagement in New York.
Lyric Opera of Chicago revealed that soprano Jennifer Holloway will portray the title role in Richard Strauss’s Salom. Holloway will step into the role in place of Elena Stikhina, who is withdrawing from the production due to her pregnancy.
