The Los Angeles Premiere of Slipping will begin on Saturday, April 6, and run through Sunday, May 5, 2013, as Rattlestick Playwrights Theater's first LA production. Rattlestick Playwrights Theater's Artistic Director David Van Asselt and Managing Director Brian Long previously announced that Jesse Eisenberg and Vanessa Redgrave will star in the world premiere of Eisenberg's The Revisionist, directed by Kip Fagan, which begins its limited run tonight, February 6 and opens Thursday, February 21 at the Cherry Lane Theatre, 38 Commerce Street. The Revisionist is scheduled to run through March 31, 2013.

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater's Artistic Director David Van Asselt and Managing Director Brian Long have announced the cast and creative team for the world premiere of The Revisionist, written by Jesse Eisenberg and directed by Kip Fagan. Previously announced cast members Jesse Eisenberg and Vanessa Redgrave will be joined by Daniel Oreskes.

A production spokesperson tells us Lilla Crawford 'suffered a minor injury to her foot while on stage at the December 12 matinee performance of Annie.' She is expected to return to the production next week. Understudy Taylor Richardson will take over the role in her absence.

Ed Asner - back on Broadway after 23 years in Craig Wright's play Grace at the Cort - celebrates his theater roots in Chicago and New York, and compares his acting experiences in New York and Hollywood, on the latest THEATER TALK. The interview, co-hosted by Michael Riedel of the New York Post and executive producer Susan Haskins, premieres at 1 a.m. on Friday, December 14 (2012; early Saturday morning) on Thirteen/PBS, followed in New York City on CUNY TV* Saturday at 8:30 PM, Sunday at 12:30 PM, and Monday at 7:30 AM, 1:30 PM, and 7:30 PM. Deadline reports that the FX network has ordered a drama series pilot to be titled TYRANT, from Howard Gordon and Gideon Raff, executive producers of 'Homeland' and 'Six Feet Under's Craig Wright. Wright will serve as showrunner if the project gets picked up to series. Production on is set to begin in spring of 2013.

One recipient will be announced from each category.

On Monday, December 10th at 2:30pm, with an audience of 300 in attendance, the winners of the 3rd annual Clive Barnes Awards will be announced. With Michael Reidel serving as host, the presenters this year include Frederic Franklin, CBE, Paloma Herrera, and Maya Johansen (Bernes).The Clive Barnes Foundation have previously announced the nominees for the 2012 Clive Barnes Awards, a distinguished annual honor recognizing the work of young actors and dancers in New York City. This years' nominees for theatre are Joaquina Kalukango for her performance in Signature Theatre Company's production of Katori Hall's Hurt Village, Derek Klena for his performance in Second Stage Theatre's production of Dogfight, directed by Joe Mantello, Rob McClure for his performance in Chaplin, now in performances at the Barrymore Theatre, and Stephen Tyrone Williams for his performance in Signature Theatre Company's production of Athol Fugard's My Children, My Africa. For dance, the nominees are Lauren Lovette (New York City Ballet), Steven Melendez (New York Theater Ballet), and Ashley Murphy (Dance Theater of Harlem).

Craig Wright's Grace, starring Paul Rudd and Academy Award nominee Michael Shannon, with Kate Arrington and seven-time Emmy Award-winner Ed Asner, opened on October 4, 2012 at Broadway's Cort Theatre (138 West 48th Street). It will close January 6, and Asner invites audiences to catch the final weeks in the video below.

Through participation with the 'Partners for Sacred Places' program, the Luna has found its new home and partner: The Church of the Crucifixion at 620 S. 8th Street (8th and Bainbridge). While negotiations are far from over, Luna Theater is currently laying the groundwork for a long-term lease for exclusive and shared sections of the building.

The two-week limited engagement at Theatre 54 (at Shelter Studios, 254 West 54th St. 12th Floor) began Friday, November 30 and continues through Sunday, December 16. Opening Night is tonight, December 2 at 2PM.

The festival will be presented at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater (224 Waverly Place, west of Seventh Avenue South, between West 11 and Perry Streets).
